Prologue:
"I don't play by the game. I make my own."
Leaf isn't your average teenage girl. She is stubborn, and pretty much the biggest tomboy you know. Leaf has left her world behind her, her past, to start a new in the town of Pallet. She instantly connects with friends her age, and 8 years later, Red, Blue, Green, and Leaf decide to start their Pokemon journey, but Leaf's life has made it clear that their journey will have higher stakes than travelling and collecting gym badges.
Chapter 1:
Leaf's perspective
Blue is my best friend, a friend I can trust with my darkest secrets, but there are some things that are left unknown to others. I feel that if I tell her, if I tell anyone, I will be an outcast, no one would be by my side, I will be tortured and on the run for good.
I let out a sigh. My room is completely tipped upside down, clothes scattered into every corner of the room, chips packets and food rotting the place, and oh Arceus one of the walls has a huge drink spill on it. Well, I honestly don't care, but for some reason I just want to clean up. Maybe show my mum if I can take care of my room I can start my Pokemon journey with my friends. I let out a groan whilst stretching my back from the good night's sleep I was given, which is pretty rare.
I gaze at my clock, still ticking on the wall across from my unmade bed. 6.30am. Really? That's it?
"Wow I can't believe I'm up that early…" I whispered to myself.
I slip on my Pikachu slippers, and quietly snuck down stairs to grab a couple of garbage bags, some cleaning gloves, and a roll of disinfectant wipes, and tip-toed back up the stairs, passing through my mother's bedroom. Man, I can't believe she still snores as loud as a Snorlax, I smiled, yet trying really hard to hold of the laughter building up inside of me. I grabbed the doorknob, and closed the door to the master bedroom, drowning out half the noise mum was creating.
My eyes have adjusted, and so has my nose, and one wiff of that bedroom of mine almost sent me into toxic shock. Yes, it is THAT bad. I know I have to deal with's the stench.
"Son of a fricking Bagon… damnit, let's just get this over with." And on that note, I get right to work, which was 5 minutes later of course.
2 hours later…
I lifted my head up to see on the wall clock. Wow I've really been cleaning for 2 hours straight? Now that's what I call an achievement! My room is still a total chaos, but the 13 garbage bags in the corner say otherwise. Arceus I'm such a hoarder. I got rid of the majority of food scraps and debris, yes DEBRIS off the floors and desks, and have also thrown out some stuff I don't need anymore, which includes old magazines, some broken glass, don't ask, and torn and girly clothing. I can't stand dresses and make up, it makes me sick…
Taking out the bags were quite hard, as in, I don't know how I managed to carry 13 nags at once without dropping one down the stairs and getting out the door. Wait that's a lie. I skidded on the stairs from a banana peel that got through the whole of one of the many garbage bins, and you can probably guess what happened next.
"Ow… Arceus ow…" I groaned, rubbing my head with my head. The impact hurt, a lot, but fortunately, all the bags were still in one piece, except for the one that had a tear in it. A massive hole in the bottom of the bag that let the banana peel slip through has formed, creating a pile of trash to seek out of the bag.
"Arceus damnit…" Wow I thought Arceus would be nice to me because I'm tidying up my room but nooo, he just wants to mess with me because of my past… yeah that's probably it.
After 5 minutes of cleaning up the mess from the teared bag, I heard footsteps creaking down the wooden stairs. I froze up. Please don't be mum, please don't be mum…
"QUEE!" I heard the voice that belongs to the footsteps.
Thank Arceus it's just Eevee. Yes we – Mum and I – have an Eevee. We rescued it from a wild Staraptor in the forest whilst hunting for Pecha berries. She was hurt really badly, so we took her back home so she can rest and get better, and once she got better she never left. Eevee avoided all the garbage bags my jumping on the floor boards. I let my arms gape wide open, letting her jump into my chest, then wrapping my arms around her like squeezing a toy. Eevee then gave me her happy smile, and licked me on the left cheek to show that she is happy to see me, and not a burglar, I guess that's understandable.
I finish up removing the stains I created on the wooden floor, and exceeded to take them out to the bin. Eevee is perched up on the wooden table near the door, watching me with a smile opening the door and one by one, disposing of the trash. I use the back of my hand to wipe the sweat away from my face as I load the last bag into the red lidded bin. I glance at my surroundings, watching the harmless flock of Starly fly over the little town of Pallet. I let out a breath of relief that my room is kind of clean, but I still know I need to clean the beige ragged carpet from the stench and some mould in some places. Don't worry, I've already thrown up for you, three times actually. I wander back inside my house, watching Eevee jump onto my shoulder as I scavenge for the vacuum in the dusty closet in the hallway under the stairs. It's hard to find through all the towels and medicine, but I eventually found it behind the ironing board. I grab it with both my sweaty hands, and yank it out of position, allowing a bit of clatter noises to begin as the closet of many things was getting unstable. I walked back upstairs for the 6th time today, and close my door shut so I don't wake my mum.
I plug the plug from the vacuum into the wall socket next to my made bed, which actually doesn't look all that bad with some of the pokemon merchandise toys on it. Eevee leaped from my shoulder to the bed and laid there softly and slowly drifted to sleep, aww she's so adorable. Before I turned on the vacuum, I opened my closet full of clothes, boys clothes to be exact, and brought out my ear muffs that I was given on my birthday. They are pastel black with a blue flame on each side of the ears. I gently placed them on Eevee, making sure I don't wake her up with the screeching sound of the vacuum. I tested the sound blockers, and they work just fine to me, so they must be able to work on Eevee.
I stumbled back to the cleaning tool, and toggled the off switch to on on the side of the machine. I could now hear the whooshing sounds of the vacuum as I move it back and forth, creating the once olivey looking carpet to the bright beige it once was. As I hoovered around the room, I could see big improvements, and thankfully still see Eevee sleeping. I pick up the pace, and find myself standing on freshly cleaned carpet. I look around as I turn off the device mechanism.
"Wow! This look amaz- oh crap the stain on the wall is still there…" I grumble, now removing my ear muff from Eevee delicate little head. She was still sleeping, but her face expressions changed for calm to stubborn. I could tell she didn't want them taken off. I think for a moment of what I can do to the wall to get rid of the stain of grape soda smudging with the cream white paint.
"Yes! That will work! I hope I still have it." I proudly said to myself, opening the doors to my closet, looking carefully for the Pikachu poster. I finally found it under a pile of newspapers my dad always gets me from places he travels. I pull it out from underneath the thin paper, and grabbed some blue tack from the second draw of my desk. I examine the stain carefully before placing the poster on, and then dotted 8 small dots in a rectangular motion, and gently pressed down the poster of Pikachu onto the blue dots.
"Yes! Can't even tell!" I whisper loudly. I now looked around for the last time before plunging onto my bed, with caution, next to Eevee who was lying on the pillow nearest to the curtains. I gently lifted her up, and laid her down in between my arm and my chest. I could tell she felt the warmth of my body, and she snuggled up to me gently. I could feel her little paws press up against my body, and felt comfort as I drifted off back to sleep, of course to be rudely interrupted by a bang at the door. I could hear my mum's voice murmuring something. Great, so THAT woke her up…
Poor Eevee dropped her eyes towards me as I did the same to her, feeling the tension between another knock at the front door. I slouched out of my bed, and holding Eevee, walked downstairs towards the pine door. I peeked through the little glass through the door to reveal a familiar face. I groaned to myself, before opening the door to a boy with spikey hair and an attitude problem. He smirks while placing one of his hands on his hips.
"Hey Green, what's up?" I ask sleepily.
