Take a look on our profile to see a description of Nightshade. Something we feel we should mention she has an odd vocabulary as Exorcists will not guess or come up with the correct names for demonic features and abilities or have different sayings.
My Head-cannon:
Demons aren't all that fond of humans either. Demons made a move on the human world because they were curious and they got attacked. When "Devil the King" (Satan's predecessor) got killed trying to make his way to the surface, the demons interpreted it as a declaration of war and began planning invasions. The tradition carried over time and very few demons actually remember why the two races are at war, regardless, demons have a healthy respect for how dangerous humans can be. The fact that humans never stopped attacking doesn't help matters, as can be seen on my profile, Nightshade understands this very well as is displayed in the quote,
"What, you think you're the only ones with casualties? There are Kits and Cubs down there mourning the Sires and Dams that are never coming back! There are acres and acres of land populated with nothing but Resting Stones and corpses."

Come on, Come on, COME ON!
My hypersensitive ears rang with the thumping of my (unfortunately human) feet on the pavement of True Cross Academy's grounds.
Move faster, come on, move this lumbering lump of flesh!
I sped as fast as this pitiful body would allow me towards the dorms that contained my little brother. Sorry, brothers. I shuddered, that human is not my kin.
Keep moving, just keep moving. Oh, for the sake of the Ancient Ones Below, why is this school so big?
Curse Mephesto. Damn him to the wrath of Father on a bad day. Curse him forcing me to promise not to teleport on the grounds. A promise I am seriously considering breaking right now.
Oh, that's IT! Useless, mortal body!
I leapt into the air and released a large spurt of power. Navy fur flew from my skin as I felt my bones snap back into their proper position. The temperature of the air around me soared as my Royal Flames ignited. My muscles rippled beneath my skin as my paws pounded on the stone beneath them. Usually, I would revel in the felling of my true form, but right now, I just needed to get across this damned school!
Ignoring the shouts of panic that I would surely have to address later, I practically flew to the living place of the Okumura brothers (a journey I had probably just shortened by half an hour). I was not even fully halfbreed before I was through the door; as soon as I was small enough to fit through it, I was in the building. I followed my instincts to a door in the third hallway along and burst through it. My inkling was spot on, although the number of people surprised me. The whole cram school was there. Bon looked concerned, all facades forgotten. Konekomaru and Shima were sitting in a corner, whispering solemnly and Izumo was simply standing there, wearing a poker face, but reeking of worry. The Feline-Syth that hung around Rin was perched on the bedside desk and the House-Goblin was sitting next to it. Shiemi had tear tracks down her face and Yukio was beginning to close off. In conclusion, I was late.
In the middle of it all, lying on a blue sheet-clad bed, was my littlest brother. I fought tears while assessing his condition. He was sweating heavily, and I could sense the heat radiating off him from the door. I growled in frustration as I scanned the room for potential dangers, I really had trouble accepting his place in this school. I cared for him more than anyone really cared to admit and this deathtrap was filled with the most potent Slayers in the country. Yukio blinked as I moved to his side to get closer to Rin. He let out a long, tired sigh. He had no idea what was going on, I could see it in his eyes, and it was killing him.
No words were needed as I shifted into position, getting close to Rin's chest and surveying breathing and heartbeat. Even for a Blue Blood, that fever was too high, his pulse was elevated and his breathing was heavy and sluggish, like he was breathing syrup. I ran a hand through the head-fur of this body. They were all very familiar symptoms, and they were very, very bad.
I shut my eyes and let out a shuddering sigh. "How…" I whispered sadly. "How can he possibly…" I shook my head. "It's Burnout." I announces. The To-bes looked lost but the Feline-Syth and House-Goblin reacted appropriately. The House-Goblin chattered in panic and looked to me, begging me to be joking, and the Feline-Syth yowled and fell off the desk.
I despised the fact I had to explain Burnout to the To-bes. It's a horrifying thing and the Blue Blood's Achilles Heel of sorts. I had to elaborate, that I knew, but… how could I explain to all these humans, that they're friend… and brother, was almost certainly going to die? I swallowed thickly at the thought. he could die. I didn't want him to go so soon, I didn't want him to go at all! Well, perhaps not my whole lifespan, probably not his either, that would be cruel, he needs his friends, they provide something I do not; but not yet. Not yet.
The humans' eyes were boring holes through my back, I could feel it. "What," Yukio started, "Is 'Burnout'?" I gulped.
"Burnout is…"
And leave it at a cliffhanger!~
Love you all, leave a review!
