Martha and Bunny snuggled under their favorite tree in the burrow. The guardians were just awaiting for the upcoming christmas party this evening.
They knew they had to be there soon. Martha especially but Bunny wanted to stay a bit longer.
"We really cant stay." Martha sang.
"But baby, its cold outside." Bunny countered.
"We've got to go away." Martha smiled and sat up.
"But baby, its cold outside." Bunny nuzzled her.
"This day has been-" Martha moved away and stood.
"Been hopin' you'd stay in" Bunny followed with a smirk.
"So very nice~"
Bunny took her paws in his, "I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice."
"Izzy will start to worry." Martha moved around the tree.
Bunny followed and set his paws on her hips, "Beatiful, what your hurry?"
"North will be pacing the floor."
"Look at birds as they soar." Bunny moved his paw across the sky.
Martha hopped away, "So I guess we'd outta scurry."
Bunny advanced slowly, "Beautiful, whats your hurry?"
Martha shrugged, "But, maybe, just half past four.."
Bunny was up against her now, "Ill keep you warm once more."
Martha wrapped her arms around him and smiled, "Sandy might think-"
"Baby, its bad out there." Bunny began to waltz with her.
"Say, you just tickle me pink~" Martha's fur fluffed.
"No tunnels to be made out there." Bunny shrugged.
"I wish I knew how-" The purple pooka twirled under Bunnys arm.
"Your eyes are like starlight now~" Bunny pulled her back in another twirl and brought her back to his front as they swayed.
"To break this spell~" Martha closed her eyes for a moment.
"I'll take your hand, your fur looks swell." Bunny nuzzled her and twirled her back out, then wrapped his paw around her waist.
"I ought to say no, no, no sir" Martha giggled.
"Mind if I move a little closer?" Bunny put his nose to hers.
"At least Im gonna say that i tried." She went along with the movements back to the tree.
"Whats the sense in hurtin' my pride?" Bunny chuckled, leading them back to their spot.
"We really cant stay."
"Oh, baby, dont hold out."
"But baby its cold outside." They sang in unison.
"We simply must go." Martha let her ears droop.
"But baby its cold outside."
"The answer is no."
"But baby its cold outside." Bunny winked.
"The day has been-"
"How lucky no ones dropped in."
"So nice and warm~"
Bunny continued to lead the waltz, "Just think that this will be the norm."
"Toothiana will be suspicious." Martha raised her shoulders.
"Gosh your lips look delicious." Bunny hummed.
"Jack Frost will be there at the door."
"Frost is a bit of a bore."
"We've gotta get gone." Martha's movements slowed.
"But baby, we'd freeze out there."
"Say, we'll take a boat."
Bunny gave her a look before singing, "Its up to your knees out there."
"You've really been grand."
"I thrill when you touch my hand!"
"But don't you see?" Martha paused.
"How can you do this thing to me?" Bunny backed away and pretended to be hurt.
"There's bound to be talk tomorrow."
"Think of my lifelong sorrow." Bunny put his paw on his heart.
"At least there will be plenty implied."
"If you got pnuemonia and died."
"I really can't stay." Martha smiled and went to Bunny.
"Get over that old out."
Martha sat next to him, and sang in unison, "Baby, it's cold; Baby, it's cold outside."
They snuggled back up against one another.
"Perhaps it wouldnt hurt to stay a little while longer." Martha and Bunny chuckled.
