This is the story of Lion-o's origins. But this story begins before Lion-o was born.
Claudius was the king of Thundera and the lord of the Thundercats. He was hoping to find a wife. He met with many lion noble women his age. But there is one he fell in love with her name was Leona. She loved him too. "Leona will you marry me and be my lady of the Thundercats?" Claudius asked.
"Yes," she said.
They were married in a big ceremony it was a royal wedding after all. They danced together. "Oh my beautiful Leona I am so happy to have you," Claudius said.
"I'm happy to have you too," Leona said.
They were married for a couple of years.
On their anniversary Claudius planned something special. He got candles to light and made sure the lighting was low. He even had new flowers put in the room. He took Leona to their room. "Take a look Leona," he said.
"Wow, you did this for our anniversary?" she asked.
"Yes I hope you like it," He said.
"I do," she said.
They got undressed and laid down together. Claudius and Leona were very happy indeed. They soon dozed off. Then woke up to banging on the door. "Lord Claudius, you're needed." a guard said.
"Coming I got to go," Claudius said kissing her.
"Be careful sweet heart," Leona said.
A couple of weeks later Leona was throwing up in the mornings. "Take it easy," Claudius said.
Leona was being seen by the doctor. He told her the best news ever. Leona went to Claudius.
"Claudius we are going to have a baby!" Leona said.
Claudius picked her up and spun around laughing.
The next nine months were the longest of Claudius' life. He hoped everything was going to be alright when the time came.
The baby came right on schedule on a stormy night in May. Claudius was plenty nervous he was pacing outside. Leona had gone into labor about three hours ago. "Come on Leona," he said.
"Claudius calm down I know you're nervous," Jaga said.
"I am way past nervous I am a wreck," Claudius said.
"Just relax Claudius, the baby will soon be hear." Jaga said.
The night wore on. Two more hours ticked by and Claudius was getting really worried. Then he heard the sound of a baby crying. Claudius looked at the door in stunned silence. A midwife came out.
"It's a boy," she said.
Claudius smiled he had a son. "How is Leona?" he asked.
"She's fine she did beautifully," the midwife said.
"Can I see my son?" Claudius asked.
"Of course," the midwife said.
Claudius went into the room and saw Leona holding the baby boy. "He's perfect," he said. "What should we name him?" he asked.
"Let's name him Lion-o." Leona said.
"That's perfect Lion-o," Claudius said.
Lion-o was held by his father.
A few weeks later they held a party to celebrate Lion-o's birth. The other Thundercats came to meet the future lord of the Thundercats. Panthro came up and offered his finger to Lion-o. Lion-o squeezed the finger tight and wouldn't let go.
"Ha, ha, ha, he's a strong little fella." Panthro said.
"One day he will be lord of the Thundercats," Jaga said.
Tygra met the baby prince. "He sure is sweet," Tygra said.
When Lion-o got older he met Cheetara after she saved his life. He also met Wilykat and Wilykit.
Lion-o was becoming a fine Thunderian.
Soon they had to evacuate Thundera. They crash landed on third earth and Lion-o suspension capsule didn't work to well and he became a man. But that is another story.
