It was a rainy night, the sky's where dark and filled with clouds. The sound of thunder could be heard in the distance, Kakashi Hatake stood by himself in an empty field surrounded by trees. Slowly his hand reached up to his face to take off his ANBU mask, he always preferred wearing it around others, it hid his emotions well and made him forget who he really was, the cold blooded copy ninja, friend killer Kakashi. Who at the age of 17 was feared by villagers, hated by the Uchiha, and overall completely and utterly alone.

Without his mask on he was vulnerable, nothing but a child, and as the wind blew and the leaves rustled on the trees he realized just how cold it was. Slowly, he leant his head back so he was facing the crying sky's, before closing his eyes and feeling the rain drip down his face. Rain was a 'Beautiful' thing, he guessed, it was as if it could read emotions.

It had rained at Obito's funeral, as well as Rin's, it hadn't rained at Minato's funeral, but as the sky darkened, so did Kakashi's heart. Partially Kakashi blamed Minato for making him mentally unstable, after Obito and Rin's death, Minato was the only one left who Kakashi could lean on.

He had nobody.

A tear ran down his face, followed by another, the rain cried with him, making it almost impossible to distinguish rain from tears, a choked sob escaped him, he lowered his head. It was strange but he had the urge to scream. All the emotions he had bottled up inside him for so long where finally beginning to unravel.

Cautiously he bought his hand back up to his face and reached for the piece of fabric covering his face, the only thing left before his emotions would be let out. Moving his hand slowly he pulled the fabric down. He breathed through his mouth, letting the cold air touch his lips, a sensation he had not felt in a long time.

It was not necessary to wear a leaf headband when part of the ANBU, so Kakashi constantly kept his right eye closed, but today he opened it, wanting Obito to see the world too.

And then he broke.

Tears flowed down his face, he clutched his head in his hands and cried.

Lightning stuck the ground where Kakashi would have been standing had he not jumped out of the way, and Kakashi ran. Lightning struck again and he twirled out of the way, again and he leaped, arching his back gracefully as he swirled around to evade the lightning.

"I thought I'd find you here, Kakashi S-"

Itachi stopped mid-sentence, as he watched the man he admired dance, tears streamed down his mask less face as the lightning struck.

It was a beautiful sight, he danced with grace, his slim figure leaping and twirling.

Kakashi was dancing with the lightning.
