Dr Finkelstein was reflecting on Sally. Truth be told, she was just supposed to be his helper. But he knew how he really felt. She was his daughter. Sally, with exception of the times when she would sneak out, was very kind. The Doctor supposed he had figured this out too late. Jack Skellington had just come by to ask for Sally's hand, and he had said yes. Dr Finkelstein wanted to flashback on all the nice things Sally had done for him over the years, and so he did.
Nice Thing #1: Soup Making
Sally had always had time to make soup for his poor old bones, bless her.
Nice Thing #2: Accepted New Mother Quickly When he created Jewel, Sally had welcomed her and did not feel sadness whatsoever at having a step mother.
Nice Thing #3: Landed the Best Bachelor in Town
This was more of a perk than a nice thing. Sally's engagement to Jack meant that Jewel and Finkelstein were invited to all of the important meetings.
Good times, thought Dr Finkelstein as he walked Sally down the aisle and held her hand for the last time.
