I wake up feeling extremely drowsy and disoriented. I didn't know where I was, just that it was a large chamber somewhere in the caves. I see a banner saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMIE!" and the whole of last night comes rushing back.
*Start of Flashback*
"Happy Birthday!" was the collective shout of the survivors in Cell 7 when I walked into the dimly lit cave. I instantly see the faces of Jared, Melanie, Jeb, Wanda, and Ian, but I'm suspicious.
"How did you guys get the supplies for this?" I asked, there were streamers everywhere and a massive cake. Food that we would normally never have.
Jared stepped up to answer "We went on a small raid."
"Small? You call this a small raid?" I asked dumbfounded "There's enough food to feed the Cell for months!" then I caught the whiff of something sweet. "Is that what I think it is?"
"Yes, it is kiddo,"
"CHOCOLATE!"
Not caring if I knocked over anybody in the process. I followed the rich scent to a fountain with the sweet nectar was spilling from its top.
"Hey, not yet." Jeb said putting his hand on my shoulder.
I pouted, but relented. We gathered into a small group and started picking our food. I went and got my favorites first: ribs, honey glazed ham, steak, bacon, mixed veggies, and french fries. When I got back I nearly fainted, my mouth was gaping seeing all the stuff on Wanda's plate. There was at least one of every type of meat there.
"Since when did you like meat?" I asked confused. She looked up her face red as a cherry, which in itself was cute, Wait, what am I saying I can't like Wanda. Can I?.
Before I could finish the thought, though, she shyly replied "Well I had a bit right after the raid and was hooked," ending with a smile on her face.
Satisfied I sit down and enjoy my meal.
After our meals were over the Cell sang happy birthday and left. I was about to leave too when Melanie caught me.
"You haven't opened your presents yet," she stated simply.
"First the buffet now presents? What did you raid? A mall?" I said.
"Don't worry about that just worry about opening your presents,"
I look to the pile and see only they had presents for me. I didn't really care since the whole Cell couldn't have done anything about it. I found the one marked Jared and opened it. It was a bottle of deodorant.
"Why deodorant?" I asked.
"Because you are now 15 and we don't want you stinking up the closed cave," he laughed.
Ok, I know that was REALLY short. Anyways if you have any ideas on what Jeb and Ian should give him leave them in the reviews. Good Night :3
