"Hey, Kate, I got a surprise for you!" Fred exclaimed

"Why do those words fill me with dread instead of curiosity?"

"Ye of little faith," He chuckled. "Come with me."

"Oh fine," She snapped her book shut and let herself be dragged out of the library by Fred. She could tell he was leading her outside, probably to their tree by the lake.

"Going to the lake are we?"

"Hm? Oh, yes, but that's not the surprise."

"Then what is?"

"If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise would it?"

"I suppose not…"

They kept walking until they got to the tree by the lake that they usually sat under. A little blanket was set up under it, a basket sitting on top.

"Aw! Freddie!" She stood on her tip toes, and he bent down a little so she could kiss his cheek. "This is so sweet of you!"

"It's just a few sandwiches and stuff…" He rubbed the back of his head.

"Come on, let's eat, I am kinda hungry."

"I was hoping for that," He grinned. "Before that I want to show you something." They sat down on the blanket. "Okay, close your eyes."

"Okay…" Katelyn was smiling as she shut her eyes. She grew impatient after only a minute. "Fred," she whined out.

"Just a second, angel," he muttered. Seconds later he said, "Okay, now."

She opened her eyes and her mouth dropped into a little 'o' as she watched the miniature firework show going on in Fred's hand.

"Like it?" She just nodded which made him laugh, "George and I have been working on them for a while. I thought you might like them"

"There so pretty."

"Not as pretty as you." He poked her on the tip of nose, which made it scrunch up. "Let's eat."

"Show me another one later?"

"I'd love to."
