She settled into the couch with her book, sighing contentedly.

"Spice tea?" Severus offered, standing up from the pile of grading at his desk.

"That sounds wonderful." She smiled. "Thank you."

He disappeared into the kitchen, and she resumed reading.

Some time later, he returned with the black teapot steaming. He poured two cups, putting three spoonfuls of sugar in the first and setting it before Hermione. Picking up the second teacup, he returned to his pile of grading.

She sipped absentmindedly, engrossed in her book.

"Hmph! Gryffindors!" He scowled at the essay on top of his stack, scribbling red comments furiously.

"Prat." She smiled, looking over at him. Her eyes caught on the teapot. "Oh!"

"Hmm?" He enquired.

"Nothing. I just... you liked it." She beamed at him.

"Of course I did" he said, his expression softening. "I told you that when you gave it to me." He smiled back at her.
