''Too Young''

We were in the heat of the moment. Kakashi and I were standing under a tree, gazing into each other's eyes. I had finally gotten him where I wanted him.

I had been waiting for the moment to come, for us to finally share a kiss. A kiss with the lips.

I slowly brought my hand to his face. Hoping to unmask him.

But as I did, he reached up and gently grabbed hold of my wrist.

''What?'' I said quietly.

''I cannot.'' He said softly, looking away.

''Why not?''

''You are too young for me.''

''Age is but a number.''

''Age is a number indeed. But our numbers are just too far apart.'' He said releasing my wrist.

I allowed my arm to fall, my finger tips tracing the length of his chest.

I leaned into him and rested my head against his chest.

He wrapped his arms around me.

I gazed up at him slowly. His face, expressionless. A mystery behind his blank eyes.

''I love you.'' I said, my voice cracking in the process. though I wasn't sure he heard me.

As I said this, a raindrop fell into Kakashi's hair. A down pour followed.

We stared into each other's eyes for a moment. Then Kakashi slowly began to release me.

''I'm sorry.'' He said softly, and slowly turned and walked away.

I watched him leave. I watched until he had vanished. Tears streamed down my cheeks, though it felt no different then the rain that went with it.

I slowly turned around, ready to go home, when I caught sight of Sasuke. He stood upon the dial in the training area, staring down at me, his eyes struck with pain.

Our eyes stayed locked for a few seconds, before he instantly disappeared.

Leaving me standing in the rain…alone.
