CHAPTER 2
" I know it's you Jake. I can't see you. I don't know what you are but i know it's you. My heart tells me it's you." My eyes were blurry with tears. " please Jacob come here to me." The glowing eyes suddenly went away. And he was gone jus like that. I knew searching for him would be a waste of time. " Where have you been?" Charlie boomed as I came through the front door. " Sorry dad. It was foggy so I decided to drive slowly." He looked at me with a softer face now. " I'm sorry Bells" he apologized to me. " It's ok dad. You were just worried about me." I said softly. " Love you dad. Now I'm going to bed" i said my good nights and went up to my room. As I opened my bedroom window and smelled the nights air I was in my own way inviting Jacob in. " Please jake if your out there and can hear me come in. I miss you." I whispered into the cold winters night. The next morning brought me no relief Jacob hadn't come last night. To make matters worse Charlie was out fishing with Billy. Maybe now is my chance to go see Jake. In excitement I ran up to my room to get dressed throwing on a tank top and some shorts, pulled on my boots and was out the door. I was at Jake's house in minuets. Knocked on the door with no answer so i tried to turn the knob but it was locked. I broke in picking the cheap lock with ease. I slowly mad my way to Jacob's room. Cracking the door open i peaked inside nothing! My heart shattered. ' No. Jacob why? You promised, how could you, you told me that you would always be there no matter what.' Liar just like Edward. I thought to myself while i stared at his bed. I couldn't take it anymore I was pissed. I wanted to hurt Jake. Hearing laughter i went outside I looked to see Sam, Jacob, Quil and some other boys half-dressed coming out of the woods. Jacob saw me and he was NOT happy. " You promised!" I screamed as hot tears ran down my face. "Bella'' I heard Charlie say but i was too far gone to listen. " You're a liar just like Edward! You lied to me!" I screamed as I marched towards him.
" Bella I'm sorry-" he began but I cut him off mid sentence " that's what he said as he abandoned me in the woods. You two are just the SAME!" I screamed out the last part as i curled my fingers and threw a ball of fire at Jake. As I extended my arm I could see i was nothing but a women on fire. Everyone backed up. My vision was blurred from tears. " Bella" my dad said softly. Trying to calm me down. My body began to shake, closing my eyes, i tried to think of a happy place. Home. Phoenix. My mom. " So what was that? What are you?" Embry asked as we all sat in Billy's livingroom. Charlie thankfully decided to explain so that I wouldn't have to. "Fay?" Sam asked " you mean fairies?" Quil asked. " No it's Fay I hate that word fairy" i snapped "sorry" he replied. Charlie sat back in the chair and got comfortable cause this was gonna be a long story. After having hit all the important key points I asked Jacob if he would take a walk with me. To my surprise he agreed. We walked along the beach in silence for what seemed like eternity. Finally he spoke up " why didn't you tell me?" looking over at him i replied " why did you ignore me? Why didn't you tell me you were a wolf? You didn't tell me the truth just like i didn't tell you the truth." I felt bad for having kept this from him but it's not like he was honest with me. " Ok so I'm sorry. I didn't want to hurt you, I was worried, and I didn't have this whole shifting thing down yet. This was all just sprang on me I didn't think this was possible." I sighed knowing how he felt " yeah I know" I said trying to comfort him.
