This is ridiculously short, but I wrote it originally for a picture I saw on tumblr and couldn't resist posting it to fanfiction because I really need a Tiva pick me up and hope those who read the small five paragraph drabble.
Disclaimer: I do not, nor have I ever owned NCIS or any of the characters associated. *sigh*
Enjoy!
The interrogation had started simply. One person asked a question. The other answered. Then, just like any interrogation, the tones became harsher and the words more cutting until a confession was made. However, unlike any other interrogation, the leading question started on the opposite side of the mirror.
In the darkened observation room Ziva stood waiting for her partner to say something, anything. The woman had not meant to end their small spat with big words, but the sudden level of emotion made her snap. Shocked by her words and not wanting to relinquish control on the sudden outburst just yet, the former Israeli assassin kept a straight face.
She hoped the facade would work because inside her heart was racing. Ziva had no idea what was going through Tony's mind, but was pretty sure he was not about to crack a joke if the thoughtful expression and tongue in cheek face were any indicators. To her surprise, the man simply sucked in a breath.
"You're sure?" He asked hesitantly. Ziva nodded with a slight smile playing on her lips. Before he could say any more, McGee popped his head in to tell him Gibbs wanted the Very Special Agent to interrogate. With one last look at his partner, Tony whispered in her ear, "Don't tell anyone without me."
As Ziva watched her partner leave and then enter the interrogation room, the female agent smiled as her hand found its way to her stomach. There was no way she would simply tell she and her Very Special Agent's special news alone.
