Author: Tada. My first ever Wilson/House fic. I hope that you enjoy. And no, I don't own them. But I wish I did.

Vacation's come and gone too late
There's so much sun where I'm from
I had to give it away, had to give you away" – Bruised- Jack's Mannequin

Bruised

"Wilson-"

House stared at his best friend, falling silent. Bonnie was standing near the terminal, waving for her new husband to join her. At this moment, Wilson was standing next to House with his carry-on back slung over his shoulder. It wasn't weird to see him off on his honeymoon. House had done it before, after all. It was just weird that, this time, House realized it might stick.

"It's only three days." Wilson's voice was rational.

He wanted to snort at the obscenity of it. Of course it was just three days, but that was the honeymoon. He was going to be a married man and House would be at the back of his mind whenever he smiled at Bonnie. Whenever he climbed into bed beside her at night.

"Have fun, then. Don't kill yourself. Or her."

Wilson smiled, raising an eyebrow. House looked away, stepping back. His eyes shifted to the side, catching a glimpse of the now agitated Bonnie.

"You should go."

No more words. With that, James nodded and left his place at House's side. He made his way to his wife, smiling at her and hurrying.

House continued to stand in the middle of the airport until Wilson was completely out of sight. Eventually, after he was sure the plane was gone and Wilson was too, House started to leave. Walking, he brought his fingers up to brush against the small bruise on his shoulder. He hoped it would last until Wilson came home.
