"The Wizarding War of blah blah blah - this is so frustrating!" I screamed - and with that I snapped the book shut. There was no way in Voldemort's nightmare-inducing lair I was going to finish reading this stupid History of Magic text right now, especially since I was so tired. Maybe I'll just close my eyes for a few minutes, I thought.

Two hours later:

"Hermione..." That voice sounded familiar but I just couldn't put a finger on it.

"Hermione?" There it was again.

"Hermione!"

That last one was a little bit rougher than the previous two.

"What?" Feeling mildly annoyed, I winced and began rubbing my forehead.

"Hermione, its Fred. You fell asleep on the sofa."

At that I opened my eyes and sat up, but then fell back down and turned so I could see his face. "So?" I retorted.

He just rolled his eyes. "So it's time for you to go to bed."

"Oh, okay. Carry me?" I put my hands up.

He laughed that deep, cute laugh that I'd learned to like so much. "Sure," he said, and scooped me up bridal-style. I sighed contentedly as I snuggled up close to him.

When we got to my room he put me on my bed and tucked me in. Then before I could filter what I was saying, I told him, " Fred, I really, really like you; and I have since third year."

"Really? Because I have liked you since your first year," he said to me with a sparkle in his great big blue eyes.

And with that revelation he kissed me full on the lips. He tasted like vanilla. He broke the kiss, and I whimpered because I wanted so much more. He just smiled.

"Hermione Granger, will you make me so incredibly happy by being my girlfriend?"

"Yes!"
