It'd been a few hours like this. Him glancing at her nervously, waiting for her rage to strike. Her. Regarding him with such broken hearted eyes that he could no longer gaze into her eyes like he used to when they were young and foolish and in love.

I never promised you a ray of light

I never promised there'd be sunshine everyday

After weeks of hoarse screams, foul curses and hot tears coming from both of them Harry truly thought today was the end of their relationship. He wasn't ready for this. He remembered her words from a few hours before "What happened to us getting married?" she was repeating this relentlessly " What happened to I love you and forever?" He had turned away from her, trying to avoid answering the question that he knew with certainty would end their relationship. But she wanted him to answer so badly that she grabbed him roughly hoping to finally force him to look at their lives properly. No sidestepping, no cracking jokes, just the truth for once.

Seriously, he had never thought they would last that long together. Come on, he was only nineteen years old! While she thought that he would be in love forever though, as he was sure they both noticed, she'd never actually known him properly. Sure she had fought with him in fifth year and supported him in sixth at Hogwarts but she truly couldn't understand why he refused to talk about The Final Battle and why he still had nightmares or even why he didn't want to be an auror.

She still thought that he shouldn't be giving away (or throwing away as she called it) all of his monetary donations that he'd received as his gifts for killing Voldemort. He just couldn't bring himself to end it entirely.

This story was inspired by a song called Halo from One Tree Hill. This is my first fanfic so please tell me if it's any good and how I can improve. I have more but I'd like to know if this story is viable.
