Raphael was so excited to be out for the first time in three months. Being cooped up in the sewers with all of his brothers and Splinter… Let's just say it was not the best three months ever. This was going to be good for all of them to get out and get some fresh air. Every once in a while, they had to lay low, trying to keep attention away from any mysterious creatures that moved too fast to be seen. This was just what he needed. To get out. Being quiet was just out of his league at this point.

Raph, of course, was the first one out the door as soon as Splinter had agreed to let them leave. Rushing out of the cave, Raph breathed in the fresh air that didn't smell like shit. They all went out into the open space and jumped from building to building, testosterone taking over all rational thought (almost).

They spent their time outside in competition for the most part, with one another. Who was faster, who could jump farther, who did the most flips off of buildings? And then the real fun began. An alarm went off a few streets down, and Raph was sure his eyes lit up.

"Oh, yes!" Raph practically squealed at the sound, jumping off the building onto the next one, running ahead of his brothers to catch whoever had tripped the alarm. Raph heard Leo shout something after about waiting for backup, but Raph ignored him, too excited to care.

Raph reached the source of the alarm and saw six men with black masks on inside of a video store filling up their bags with cash from the register. Okay, so this was going to be an easy bust, but it was still something. Raph didn't care if it was an easy job, he just needed something.

He waited for his brothers to catch up so they could agree on a plan, even though Raph was pretty sure they would end up winging it, completely ignoring the eldest.

"What do we got?" Donnie asked running up behind Raph and getting into a crouching position, mirroring Raph's.

"Six perps. Video store. Should be pretty boring so I've got it. You all can sit back and watch how it's done," Raph said with a smirk on his face.

"No, Raph. You know the rules. We stick together," Leo said with a stern, set look on his face.

"Ah, come on, man! You know that's bull. We're 20. I think it's okay if we start to go our own paths. We keep up like this and we're going to be worse than identical twins who are attached at the hip."

Leo glared at Raph but didn't say anything as Donnie spoke up.

"Okay, guys. Calm down. We can talk about boundaries later, Raph. Right now the four of us are going in there together. It doesn't matter if it's a boring job. Raph, you go in from the top once they're outside. Mickey and I will come at them from the front, and Leo, you come in from the right. We'll have them surrounded. Everybody got it?"

They all nodded in unison, but Raph's was more of a reluctant submission. Raph got in position on the roof of the video store waiting for Donnie to signal to him telling they were coming out. Donnie signaled and Raph jumped down and slammed the door shut behind them and turned around to face them.

"What the fuck?!" The first guy that had walked out of the store all but screamed when he saw Donnie jump in front of him.

"What the hell is that thing?" another said from behind the first guy to speak.

"Oh, you know, just your typical friendly neighborhood mutant turtle hybrid," Raph said nonchalantly from behind the group with a big stupid grin on his face. They all turned to look at him, and a few of them bolted, attempting to escape but Leo trapped them back in the circle with Mikey joining in on the other side to completely trap them.

"So here's what's going to happen. You're gonna put those bags down and sit down like good little humans while we tie you up. Or we can do this the hard way. And I love the hard way," Raph said, trying to hold himself back, grin widening on his face.

All of a sudden, Raph couldn't see anything. Somebody had cut the circuit to all the lights within at least a mile of the video store. Raph could hear commotion going on inside the circle he and his brother had created, trapping the robbers in.

If it was at all possible, Raph's adrenaline and heart rate picked up with his excitement.

"Guys, what's going on?" Raph heard Mikey ask through the dark.

Leo shushed him and Raph could hear the familiar sound of Leo grabbing his swords from behind his shell, and then the three brothers followed his lead grabbing their weapons. They waited for an attack, but whoever had turned out the lights seemed to only be focused on the perps.

After a few seconds the lights came back on, and it took Raph a few seconds to adjust his eyes to the light. When his eyes finally started working again, what he saw made his jaw drop.

He saw a female. And not just any female. She was a mutant female turtle, and she was wearing a purple mask around her eyes like Donnie's. She was finishing tying a knot on one of the six perps, and then he saw another mutant girl wearing an orange mask, picking up a sai off the ground.

Raph noticed that his Donnie and Mikey had the same gob smacked looks on their faces, but they were looking in a different direction. He turned his head to see what they were looking at. He couldn't believe his eyes. He was sure that he was dreaming. They were all looking at Leo. And another mutant girl with a blue mask on. They were kissing.

"What the hell is going on?" Leo stopped kissing the girl and looked like he had completely forgotten they were there when he heard Raph's voice.

"Oh, sorry guys. I kind of got distracted," Leo said, his cheeks getting bright red.

"No seriously what is going on? Why am I seeing four other mutant turtles? And why you are making out with the one in blue?!"

Then Raph saw her. This mutant girl was wearing a red band around her eyes, with one hand on her hip. She had three scars that ran down her collarbone that looked like a claw mark from a bear or something. She had a couple other pretty subtle ones randomly scattered over her body, like the rest of them, but they were actually kind of hot on her.

"Well… It's a really long story, and we shouldn't be out here. We're exposed and the cops should be getting pretty close since the alarm has been going off for a while. Let's go back to the lair and we can explain, okay?" Leo looked at his brothers and could see the skeptical looks on their faces. He tried to reassure them.

"Look, guys, I know you're really confused right now, but we need to move! I promise, we'll explain as soon as we get back, now let's move," he said in his best leader voice.

They all ran after Leo and the girl in the blue mask, following them into the sewers and back to the lair, trying to keep all their questions and confusion to themselves.
