When they met, Vincent fell in love with her immediately.

She was so beautiful……

She was so kind………

There was something about her, her smile, her passion, her complexity.

He was perplexed by her charisma, her forgetfulness, her genius. After all he was just a TURK. His father had been a scientist just like her, and he was nothing but a lowly TURK. Like Romeo and Juliet they lived their love and like Romeo and Juliet they parted. Death was stronger, much, much stronger. All the things he could have given to make things work out all right.

So many things……

So why………why was fate so cruel…………?

When they sat together under that special tree, time seemed endless, the breeze was always warm, and he could only picture her smile.

And all he wanted, was to see her happy……he didn't want to make her cry.

When they met, Lucrecia was ridden with guilt.

He looked just like his father……

He had his eyes…………

Why did they send him! There must be something wrong! I can't for forgive myself!

When everything reached a boiling point, when her guilt became greater than her love, when all the pressure came upon her, she simply gave up.

She chose Hojo over Vincent.

But in her mind, that special tree, that special moment, it became branded in her mind and her soul. Like a tattoo that fades and wrinkles, but never disappears, it never leaves you, it stay with you for life.

And then it happened……BANG!...…that fateful shot from Hojo's revolver, the experiments, the lies, the deception, her son,

LET ME SEE HIM, JUST ONCE………!

In Lucrecia's mind, she wanted to help Vincent; she wanted to apologize, she wanted to make-up for all her mistakes, she wanted a distraction from her son. She justified everything with a motive, however dark that motive might be. She spent hours locked in her laboratory working day and night. She needed this! She wanted this! She wanted to prove them wrong!

In all her theories, in all her visions, in all her hopes, Vincent and her son became prevalent.

And then……………

She became weary, she lost her shine, she lost all her hopes. She couldn't stand it any longer! Everything was so much, too much, she couldn't bare it, so she let go. Her body crumbled, her spirit was broken, but her spirit was finally free. She could rest now……

But before she left the physical realm, before her body joined the life stream in that endless circle of flowing energy, she left a fragment of hope. She dispersed her memories, she dissipated her feelings, she created something new.

In that world wide web she left her will, her dreams for a better tomorrow as well as her love.

"Everyone is waiting, Vincent Valentine." A small delicate sigh is released. "I don't know why they made me come up here to get you."

Those words are met by a mixture of a shy smile or a knowing scoff from the enigmatic man.

"Not that I mind, though……"

And Lucrecia was just like that; believing what she wanted to believe.

The End.
