Shane couldn't believe she was here, in the swing with Oliver. Just a few minutes ago, she was ready to hop on a plane to an unknown place and start her life over. But, it turns out, she wasn't finished with this life just yet.

"Thank you, Oliver. This is just so sweet. I still can't believe you did this!"

Oliver turned to Shane. There was something he had to say to her, and he couldn't wait any longer. "Ms. McInerney...Shane. I have to tell you something. About Holly."

Shane's heart dropped. This couldn't be happening. He was going to tell her this was all a big joke, and he was going to join his wife. But to her surprise, he took her hands in his.

"Whenever I was with Holly, I found myself thinking of a different woman. That we had completely fallen out of love with one another."

Shane didn't know what she was hearing. She had seen Oliver and Holly dancing together. And Oliver seemed to be having a perfectly wonderful time. He couldn't possibly mean...But she had to know. "Who?"

Oliver smiled. "You, Shane. You've made my life complete. I had trouble being with Holly, because you were never far from my mind. And my heart," he added. He reached for her hand, and touched it on his heart.

Shane's own heart soared. She knew they would be able to move on, and start things over now, without Holly coming into their lives. But she must tell him one thing before that happened.

"Oliver...I have to tell you something. I was walking by during your dinner with Holly, and I saw the two of you dancing. It was hard to watch." She almost couldn't get the words out, the feeling of that heartbreak.

Suddenly, a tear slid down, but Oliver was quick to wipe it away. "I'm so sorry Shane. I never meant for Holly to cause you such pain. And I'm sorry you had to see that. But, I can tell you one thing for sure. You will be the only person I will be dancing with from now on. I promise you that."

Shane sighed and was grateful once again for her decision to stay. She leaned her head on his shoulder, and was soon fast asleep, dreaming of dancing through life with Oliver.

A short time later, Norman and Rita were walking hand in hand towards Shane's house to try to get her to change her mind. The Postables just wouldn't be the same without her. They were a team.

Rita sighed. "I love you, Norman." She smiled.

Norman laughed. "How many times are you going to say it?" But he smiled back. He couldn't have been more proud of his Rita tonight. His heart leaped when he thought about it. His Rita. She was in love with him, and he was in love with her. He couldn't wait to thank Shane, for she had been responsible.

As they neared Shane's house, Rita noticed something was different. There was a new swing on the porch.

Norman gasped, and pointed. Rita followed his gaze, and then her eyes lit up. Shane and Oliver were sitting on the swing, both sound asleep. And the best part of all, Oliver had his arm around Shane, and Shane had her head leaning up against his shoulder. It was the most incredible sight.

"Well, I guess Shane decided not to leave." Norman whispered.

Rita was so happy, but she didn't want to disturb them. "Come on, let's leave them alone."

Once they were a safe distance away, Norman grabbed Rita by the hand and twirled her around. "The Postables are always going to be together!"

Rita laughed. "And this doesn't change a thing. I still love you, Norman Xavier Dorman. You will always be the one for me."

Norman knew it was time. He leaned in for a kiss that was slow at first, but gradually gave way to something more. Yes, he thought, they would always be together.

The End
