here's the thing. We've been working with Ellis Island in my
English class, and I'm fascinated. So I wanted to write a short
one. Just a little something AU coming from my mind, it just wanted
to come out, and wouldn't go away before I wrote it down.

Finally, we're here. All I've been waiting for. My thoughts were interrupted by this little girl standing in front of me.
"Mama, I wanna see!" I lifted her up so she could look over the rail of the ship. Not much to see, but still, it's the start of something new. A new life in the States.
We came
through the doors and stood in line for God knows how many hours.
Then it was finally my turn.
"I'm sorry miss, but you have to
go…."

"Oh God," I sat up in my bed, looking to the left. Tony was there beside me.
I got out of bed, walked through our new bought house.
I opened
the door to the nursery; there she was, lying in her bed, sleeping
like she never slept.
I turned around, only to get the biggest
chock of all.
"Couldn't sleep?" He hugged me and I buried my head in his chest.
"Not really, just had a strange dream. I just wanted to check everything was okay, and it just was a dream." He took my hand and almost dragged me back to the bedroom, where he fell asleep instantly.
"Maybe it was just a dream from the past, but this is present and I have my dream here with me" I muttered to myself and fell asleep against my wonderful husband, waiting for a new day to come.
