Lily Evans woke late one Saturday morning to find her dormitory empty. Crawling out of bed, she dressed and made her way into the common room. She found it to be mostly deserted, except for a few 4th years talking quietly in a corner. Lily figured that most everyone was at breakfast. She climbed out of the portrait hole and made her way to the Great Hall.
been trying to get her to act more spontaneous. She thought that Lily spent too much time following her carefully planned schedule of time. Emily had been instructing Lily to do random spontaneous acts throughout the day in order to become more 'fun' and less predictable. These 'acts' included wearing her hair in multiple crazy ponytails, skipping through the halls, and random outbursts of song in the common roomOver the past week, Lily's best friend, Emily, had . Lily didn't quite understand how this was helping her any, but decided her friend was just too crazy to question.
This particular morning, Lily was feeling extra spontaneous. She felt like doing something that would get people to look her way and question who it was. She wanted to do something so crazy, that her friends would remember it for years. Lily thought about all this on her way to the Great Hall, and it was only when she pushed open the doors and saw James Potter's smiling face, she figured out what she was going to do.
Lily quickly walked through the Great Hall, right over to the place where James, the Marauders, and Emily were sitting. They were all turned around watching her swiftly make her way to them.
"Hey, Evans," James said, "Why are you-"
But James didn't get to finish, because just then, in front of the entire Great Hall, Lily kissed James Potter.
He immediately put his hands at her waist and sat her down beside him. Moments passed before James broke away and said, "What's wrong with you?"
Lily smiled, "Nothing," she replied.
"What the hell was that then?" Emily said looking shocked.
"You told me to be more spontaneous!"
"Why can't you be more spontaneous, Emily?" Sirius said scooting closer to her and smiling suggustively.
Emily glared at him, "Shut up Sirius."
