ONE EARLY MORNING

By Moon-Child

Disclaimer: Except for Lily Jess Potter-Malfoy, all the other characters that you may recognize from the Harry Potter series belong to J.K.Rowling. I love you, Joanne, for creating such yummy, shaggable characters.

Slash. And probably even fluffy.

Please read and review!!! Plus do mention if you would like a Chapter 2! Ideas most welcome!

*!*!*!*

Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived, had lived through all kinds of trivialties, bore scars and marks from duels, fought physically and emotionally to endure pain, and after all the hard work, had defeated Voldemort, the Ruler of Darkness, the You-Know-Who, the murderer of his parents and friends, the man previously known as Tom Marvolo Riddle- " What kind of bloody fucking name is Marvolo?"(Insert Ron Weasley's voice) and interestingly, the Dark Lord has been linked romantically to Albus Dumbledore, Ginny Weasley, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and countless others by fanfiction writers who enjoy spreading the word of eternal peace all year round.

But nothing prepared him for a screaming, non-stop crying six month old baby at 2 in the morning.

" Harry.." his husband, Draco Malfoy whispered into his ear. " Lily's crying." A pause. "Again."

" I know." The famed Harry Potter whispered back. " I can't move, Draco." He said in a tired voice. " Please, baby." He pleaded.

" It's your turn, hon." The disowned son of an ex- Death Eater tried to reason with his scar-faced husband. Not receiving any answer to his words, Draco got up and went straight to the nursery, where their recently adopted daughter, Lily Jess Potter-Malfoy spent most of her day time sleeping and night bawling for attention from her two young, eager to please fathers, whom she knows- by instinct or otherwise- are ready to sacrifice their own lives for their little bundle of joy.

" Hey baby," Draco said softly, picking her up from the cot and patting her back gently as she rested on his chest. " Daddy's here, sweetheart. Please don't cry." He kissed the top of her head several times, and rocked her softly. He reached for the bottle of milk, and seating himself on the rocking chair, fed her, and played with her soft brown hair. Later he sang a soft lullaby- a song taught to him by Hermione Weasley- and felt little butterflies flutter in his stomach as his daughter yawned adorably and closed her eyes, saying hi-hi to Dreamland.

A loving smile crossed Draco Malfoy's face as he rested her gently in her little cot, kissing her goodnight before leaving the room. He went back to bed and nuzzled against his husband. Harry opened his eyes and asked, " She's sleeping?"

" Uh-huh."

" I love you, Draco Malfoy."

" Love you too, Harry."

And they silently wished their daughter goodnight as they joined her, minutes later, in Dreamland.

The End!
