Nightmares
Will awoke to the sound of whimpering. At first he was confused and half asleep, then he felt the person beside him squirm and gasp. He looked down to see Nico, his boyfriend lying with his back to Will, muscles jerking slightly.
"Nico?" Will whispered, he propped himself up on one elbow and began to reach towards Nico. Except when he got a few inches away, Nico broke into a horrified scream and, clutching his head, squirmed around in pain.
"NICO!," Will screamed trying to wake Nico. He grabbed onto Nico shoulder, but was thrown off as Nico began to violently flail his arms. Will quickly leapt out of bed and made his way to Nico's side. Will climbed onto his boyfriend and soon had him pinned beneath him, this only help in the 'violent actions' aspect. Nico began to tug in an attempt to free himself from Will grasp. He keeps mumbling and every word out of his mouth broke Will's heart.
"Please don't, stop, no I can't, someone help me, please" He pleaded, tears streaming down his face as he continues to struggle.
"NICO! Nico, please. Please wake up, it's just a dream. Your okay, nothing's going to hurt you. NICO, WAKE UP!" He began screaming as Nico let out another pained scream. Will continued to pin Nico down and reassured him his okay for what felt like an eternity.
Sudden Nico went completely limp beneath him. Will let go off his arms and sat (still on Nico) starring in horror at his boyfriend. Nico's arms were limply above his head, were Will had been pinning them. That's not what scarred him though. What scared him was that the fact that Nico had quiet breathing and his finger tips were starting to blur. Will felt hot tears roll down his checks as he went into 'doctor mode'. He checked Nico's pulse and sighed a little in relief he felt it there, but it was weak. Will turned the lamp beside Nico's bed and on, tilting the shade so it on Nico. Then, for the next ten minutes, he used his 'Apollo powers' to bend the light and "heal" Nico.
Finally, with a small gasp the younger demigod's lungs began to heave up and down. Suddenly, Nico's eyes flew open and he began to pant, his eyes wild with fear. Will leaned down placed his forehead on Nico's and his arms n either side of Nico's head.
"Shh, shh, it's okay, baby, your okay. It was just a nightmare; nothing's going to hurt you." Nico body was tense, but his eyes filled with realization, then tears. Will gently rolled off Nico and pulled his boyfriend into his embrace. He mumbled sweet nothings into Nico's ear as the broken boy sobbed into his shirt. When the crying stop Will held Nico in his arm and lolled the younger demigod to sleep with his humming. Nico fell asleep with Will holding him and humming, but not before feeling Will's warm, gentle lips press to his forehead and hearing Will gently whisper.
"I love you, Neeks"
