Author's Notes: I honestly don't know why I wrote this. But, frankly, this is how I think of the character Hiei, fangirlish though it may be. My first uploaded poem too. So proud.

Summary: One girl's opinions on the forbidden child, and what she sees as she gazes upon him. Now, look into those crimson eyes, and tell me, what do you see?

Disclaimer: I do not own Yu Yu Hakusho.

What do you See?

Look upon his face-
What do you see?
A fierce gaze,
Glaring at me?

Look at the frown-
And tell me now,
Is that a man,
Who refuses to bow?

Glance at the sword,
Glimmering, proud,
Is that a weapon,
Which rips through the crowd?

Answer my last question,
Unsaid, though it may be.
Is there a soul,
Which longs to be free?

One man sees the glare and eyes,
The forbidden child, he cries.
Another sees the frown,
And thought of the man so renown.

Then there's he,
He who sees the sword.
He sees skill, talent,
And a warrior oh-so gallant.

And there's me,
A child, though I may be.
But I see the soul-
Longing to be set free.

I see a boy,
Who had grown too fast.
I see a child...
Crying, who dwells in the past.
