The infant Kiichigo Shirogane lay in her car seat, while her baby-sitter, Kona, drove and occasionally talked to the girl.

Kona Tanaka was a young woman, sixteen or so, but had understood clearly that Mrs. Shirogane would not like to see her child. Yumi Shirogane did not want to have the kid in the first place, which made it hard for Kiichigo. Yumi was a selfish woman, fussing about herself all day, life in her little world, her feelings that she had no room in her heart for loving someone other than herself; not even her baby.

Kona looked back at the girl, eyes full of pity. What hurt her most was that Kiichigo sat content, not knowing a mother's love. She had tried hard to make Kiichigo happy, but could never really love her, no, not a parent's love. Kona knew nothing about the Shirogane family except Mr. Shirogane's brother was Dr. Shirogane. Dr. Shirogane was some kind of scientist, Kona didn't know or care, all she knew was he did something with animals.

Foolishness.

She sniffed. She was just a baby-sitter, and baby-sitters looked after kids. But Mr. Shirogane was highly interested in his brother's work and tried to make Kiichigo understand. But of course she couldn't!

Kona snorted.

Kiichigo was an infant!

Suddenly thin grey smoke simmered through the air, reeling Kona out of her thoughts. She sniffed and looked at the direction it was coming from:

The Shirogane house!

Kona pressed her foot on the pedal and drove like a mad woman! Once outside the house she widened her eyes.

Rising out of the ashes was a creature. Her upper body was one of a woman, her lower part like a dragon. One devil horn crowned her head. Her mouth leaked blood. Her face burned like hell itself. But her eyes, her eyes weredeath.

Kona couldn't tear here eyes away from it. She felt like it had somehow caught her throat, making it flame and her breathing shallow.

Suddenly it snapped its head back to look at the humans. Her eyes glistened like the devil, no, she was the devil!

Kona's eyes watered, beginning to realize her cruel fate. The creature's face shivered with evil pleasure. With an ear-splitting scream of triumph, she charged at the car. But then she stopped, caught in someone's gaze. Kona turned around and saw Kiichigo staring at the dragon-lady. It backed away. Before Kona could react to it, she shrieked and flew into dark, sleek night.

Silence.

It was then Kona realized she was holding her breath. She let it out into short gasps. Keiichigo still stared at the house, while the flames swallowed it.

Keiichigo knew she would remember that night for the rest of her life…

What do you think? I know it is REALLY stupid to write a story now, but I had an inspiration! Please tell me if I should continue, and don't worry it will get better. Peace out!
