A short poem about going into spiritual war. Bear with me just a little longer just came out of a long spell of writer's blockage.

The Banner

I'm going into war

To fight the wiles of the devil

Clothed in my armor,

I'm going

Everyone says that I'm going to

Fall in the heat of battle

But I know the key

To not breaking down

I know the way

The truth and light

I'll hold Him high in the sky

Jehovah Nissi, my banner

When the devil sees the sight

He hides, trembles and shakes

I've got the Son behind me

And his array of angels

Don't tell me that I'll break down

Don't tell me I will lose my crown

I'm going into war

And I will wave my banner

So that everyone will see -

In whom I believe.
