It's Tenten's birthday and Neji has no idea what to get her. After Lee gives him an idea Neji gets her gift. But there's more to it. This is my first fic.

Summary: It's Tenten's birthday and Neji has no idea what to get her. When Lee gives him an idea, Neji gives Tenten a new pet. But that's not all…

It was March 9. Tenten's birthday. She had gotten"happy birthdays" from Gai-senesi and Lee, but not from Neji. He knew it was her birthday but didn't want to say until he gave her her gift. There was one problem though. Neji had no idea what to get for Tenten. He had no other choice but to ask Lee. Lee, what is Tenten's favorite animal? Neji asked. She has three. Puppies, bunnies, and gerbils. Lee answered.

Thanks. Neji said. Now he knew what to get Tenten. So he went to a pet shop. Later back at the training grounds Neji was coming back but was hiding something with his left hand behind his back. Tenten noticed. Hey Neji, where were you and what are you hiding behind your back? Tenten asked curious. You'll find out later. Neji answered. Please? Tenten begged. No, I said later and if you ask again you're not going to see it at all. Neji said.

Fine. Tenten pouted. It was now getting dark out and Tenten wanted to see what Neji was hiding so badly. Then she saw Neji coming. You want to see what I was hiding before? Neji asked with a smirk. Yeah. Tenten said. When he took out his hand from behind his back there was a small animal on Neji's palm. "Gasp" A gerbil? He's so cute! Tenten said grabbing the small animal.

You like it? Neji asked. Tenten looked up from the gerbil in her hands. It's…for me? Tenten asked surprised. Yeah. Happy birthday. Neji said. Thank you. Tenten responded. So what are you going to name him? Neji asked. Flurrels. Tenten said. You are so weird with names. Neji said sitting down. Tenten sat next to him. Thank you. Tenten said. Flurrels was on the ground.

Oh yeah there is something else. Neji said. What else is there? Tenten asked. This. Neji said. He then kissed Tenten. She accepted. Two minutes later they broke apart for air. I love you Tenten. Neji said staring into her eyes. I love you too. She said. They kissed again. This was the best birthday Tenten had yet.
