Entry for the "100 Songs Competition" by ProudToBeSlytherin

The song I have been given is "Bad Reputation" by Joan Jett

Just a short drabble, nothing special... Hope you enjoy it anyways :)

Nymphadora Tonks was more then aware of the strange looks the muggles gave her as she walked through the Underground station, heading towards her platform. She was used to it by now and she did not care if anyone of them thought she did belong to these groups of young people that spend their days hanging around at train stations drinking beer and bullying people, some, foremost the elder ones, would even call her names, but she did not give a damn on what they said. When she was travelling back to Grimauld Place in the muggle way after work she would always have a certain song in her ear which perfectly showed off her attitude towards the people that judged her for her looks.

Bad reputation.

She simply loved the song, she would have to prevent herself from singing and dancing along when she was riding down the escalators, waiting on the station, sitting on the train – I don´t give a damn about my reputation.

For them, her looks were giving her a bad reputation because she did not look like everyone else. Because she was dressing the way she felt. In the wizarding world it was normal – everyone was looking a bit odd. But these muggles were so... stuffily.

Tonks simply let them stare at her pink hair, at the leather jacket she had borrowed from Sirius, at her slightly destroyed jeans and at the heavy black boots. She did not care.

Well, if Remus gave her outfit a way to questioning look, she would rush off to her room to change because his opinion was important to her – but that was something else. And she felt her heart beat faster when he told her that she should not listen and that he liked her the way she was.

She did not have a bad reputation – but if someone forced one on her, she simply laughed it off.
