Conmenticius relicum ex unus rosa

This place…

A tranquil meadow filled with flowers of every type imaginable…

Each flower…

Representing a person within this world…

And in the middle of all the flowers is a pure white rose of utmost beauty…

I stare silently pondering the flowers beauty. I look up calmly as I realize I'm not alone any longer. A young woman walks silently towards the rose a pauses. She study's the rose intently.

"Who are you?" I ask.

I hear the answer as if it's the wind.

"My name does not concern you." I assume she says.

I silently stare at her in surprise.

"This rose is purified now but I've seen what it's planning. It's still not done with its tricks. It blackened this world once. Brought about a war that almost destroyed it. It's gathering its power again to strike again. Its old weapons are reactivating one by one. Ready to spread the flames again." I hear drift across the wind.

The woman silently looks at me. I know part of what I just heard. After all my mother was one of the soldiers. I wish I didn't understand what she meant though.

"Peace will last." I say calmly. I wonder why I said it though.

"It will last as long as you dance within the light. If you dance within the darkness all is lost and all will fall. It doesn't matter which side everyone's on when that happens."

I start to say something before the garden around me shifts to be my room. I silently stare up at the ceiling.

"So it was all a dream like I thought it was… Dance in the light or darkness… Does she even know what dancing denotes within this family?" I sigh. I fall silent as the maid enters my room.

"Oh… You're awake already. I've come to tell you that breakfast is ready. Your mother is waiting for you in the kitchen." The maid informs me. She then bows before leaving the room. I watch as her crimson hair trails through the air before swinging my feet onto the floor.

I will ask my mother about the meaning of that woman's words after school today. For now though I need to get ready.
