Perfect company brings perfect warmth.
Tsuzuki walked through the blossoms, parallel to the lake, lost in a little world inside his own head. He sat on the grass and looked into the lake, smiling lopsidedly, setting a blossom's petal onto the surface, his gaze following it as he swirled the water and caused it to float around.
"Tsuzuki."
A soft gasp escaped his lips as he processed the voice, looking behind him. "Tatsumi!" he beamed.
The corners of Tatsumi's mouth lifted as he kneeled next to Tsuzuki.
Tsuzuki turned back to the lake. "It's so serene here."
Tatsumi nodded to himself, looking to where Tsuzuki was looking. "It is."
"It's kind of cool, though."
"You left your coat inside," Tatsumi said, standing. Tsuzki followed his reflection in the lake until he disappeared behind him.
"I wish I can be warm. It is a beautiful place… I'd like to have someone to share it with someday, and we'll both be very, very warm," he gleamed with enthusiasm to no one in particular.
Tsuzuki gasped as warmth enveloped him and Tatsumi reappeared next to him. He looked to his right where Tatsumi sat. His cheeks colored slightly as his gaze fell back to the lake and his right hands latched onto the suit jacket that draped over him.
He felt his face heat up more when he saw Tatsumi's reflection was gazing at him. He looked down to the grass between his feet.
"I… I'm… Ah…!"
He tucked himself into his bent knees.
The corners of Tatsumi's mouth lifted once more and put a hand on Tsuzuki's covered shoulder. His expression softened further when he felt ends of cool fingers clutch at his own.
Tatsumi removed his hand and moved closer to wrap Tsuzuki in his arms to rest on him. I hope I make your choice of company.
"Are you warm?"
"Ah," Tsuzuki murred. "Steaming."
Tatsumi chuckled.
And the company's perfect.
Tsuzuki closed his eyes and settled happily, his hand snaking to Tatsumi's and clasping onto it.
