Sunrise
It was the end of a long day, and the sun was just setting. Fionna had spent the day playing video games and visiting Prince Gumball at the Candy Kingdom. Cake was spending the night with her boyfriend, Lord Monochromicorn. The sun had set now, and Fionna was lying on the cool grass by her treefort when she heard rustling in the bushes beside her. She jumped up, grabbed her sword, and pointed it at the bushes.
"Geez… it's just me." said a very familiar male voice.
"Ugh, Marshall!" Fionna yelled. Marshall Lee came out of the bushes with his hands in the air. Fionna then put her sword down and said, "Glob Marshall, you don't have to sneak up on me, you know."
"Yeah, I know." Marshall Lee said coolly. Then the duo lay down on the grass, and stared at the stars. Fionna rested her head on Marshall Lee's shoulder, and after a while she fell asleep. Marshall Lee put his arm around her, and tried to fall asleep himself.
When Fionna woke up from her sweet dreams of Marshall Lee she felt stiff. She saw she slept on the ground all night with Marshall Lee. She looked to the east, and saw the sun about to rise. "OH STUFF! Marshall we have to get you inside!" Fionna yelled. Marshall Lee woke up alarmed, and suddenly seemed to realize what was going on. He flew inside Fionna's treefort faster than lightning. Fionna ran inside a few seconds later and voiced, "Wow that was really close!"
Marshall Lee looked at Fionna and stated, "I'm so glad you woke up in time, Fionna."
"I am too."
"So… what's up?"
"You should be the one telling me that." Fionna joked, "After all you are the one who snuck up on me."
"True. You wanna watch a movie?" asked Marshall Lee.
"Sure." Fionna smiled.
