Slowly she stood, rising like a long dead hero, surrounded by blood and guts
Hold your breath and count to ten
He spotted her from across the field of red and watched, not moving
Feel the earth move and then
She looked around, looking for any sign of her companions
Hear my heart burst again
He turned to look over at a piece of purple cloth, all that remained of a close brother, shredded by a nameless youkai
For this is the end
She remembered now, memories flooding her head. An unknowing tear slipped past thick eyelashes
I've drowned and dreamt this moment
He had watched as a leather clad women screamed his name, seconds later extinguished. He grit his teeth
So overdue I owe them
She looked down at her feet, where a small body lay, and stared as the tears, unstoppable now, streamed down her face
Swept away, I'm stolen
He stood, supported by his sword and covered in countless wounds
Let the sky fall
She turned to face the huge monster as it tore apart the remains of their army
When it crumbles
He started to limp towards her, in extreme pain as blood trickled down his arms, on it's own path to the earth
We will stand tall
She went to stand beside beside him
And face it all together
Together, they joined hands and begun their final attack
At skyfall
They stood perfectly still as a wave of blinding light swept over the field, blinding everything and everyone in it's way. She gripped his hand a little tighter just as the light reached them and just before it touched them, he squeezed her hand back, and then they were gone, enveloped by the light
It was all white
