Bruce felt Dick's eyes upon his body as he stripped in the dark tunnel. It had been a long time since they had last worked together, and Bruce was surprised to feel the younger man checking him out. He slightly flexed his muscles as he began to pull on his costume.
"Hey, that's a new scar," Dick commented.
Bruce shivered as he ran his finger along a claw mark that had only been made a couple of nights ago. It would fade, he knew, as the ones she left on him usually did, but he wasn't about to let the boy know that.
"Did you get him?"
"You could say that. I believe she was very pleased."
"Aha!" Dick waggled his eyebrows. "You sly bat!"
Bruce smiled fondly at the memory of that night. "It's the mark of the Cat," he admitted.
"Oh." He clearly heard the disappointment etched in his sidekick's voice. "So how long have you two been back together?"
"A year." He hid his self-assured smile as he pulled on his cowl. Although it had been a long time since he'd last had Dick and his heart now belonged to Selena, he couldn't help but to take pride in the fact that his young lover was disappointed that he would never again get a flap from the Bat. He made no further comments, however, as he fell into his role and charged to the Batmobile.
