Ice Cream and Good Company

Takuma had been on his way back to Cross Academy from doing a errand for Kaname sama, when he had unfortunately gotten distracted

By a ice cream shop.

Now while Takuma didn't exactly have a sweet tooth, he at times liked to indulge in a few treats.(He blamed it on Shiki) And now happened to be one of those times.

So that was how Takuma now found himself walking back to the moon dorms with to ice creams, one for himself and one for Shiki.

'I suppose I should have resisted but it's hot out, especially for a vampire, and while Shiki is still probably asleep I can just stick this in one of the fridges' Takuma hummed satisfied.

Suddenly he stopped, surprised at the sight of Kiryu near the Moon dorms during the day, but there he was, slightly out of the view of the dorms.

Why, Takuma didn't have a clue. But he looked fairly pissed off.

Suddenly Zero turned, looked up at him and scowled. "What are you doing up in the daylight bloodsucker?" Snarled Zero, sparing a small bemused glance at the ice cream.

Takuma smiled politely, "good afternoon Kiryu, just attending some business " Zero gave him a disbelieving glare "like ice cream "

"Yes, among other things"

Takuma might not have been exactly 'buddy buddy' with Zero, but he didn't hate him, (quite the contrary, he actually felt bad for him) and he knew him well enough

To know that he wasn't himself.

In fact Kiryu didn't look physically well either Takuma mused. "Your ice cream is going to melt" Takuma blinked, startled out his thoughts he looked down at his ice cream then smiled.

Takuma looked up still smiling and held out one of his ice creams to Zero. "Here you have one" Zero's eyes widened "what?"

"Well I can't eat them both by myself "

Zero looked at him for a moment before he finally reached forward and took the ice cream looking rather surprised at his own actions. Zero eyed It suspiciously "you didn't spit on did you?", Takuma chuckled, "no"

"Why did you buy two in first place?" Takuma shrugged sitting down on a nearby log, "I guess I thought could eat one and put the other in a fridge " Zero hesitantly sat down beside him.

They sat in silence for a while before they began to talk to each other about nothing in particular if only to break the silence.

After they had finished they're ice cream they awkwardly (mainly Zero ) went they're separate ways.

And Takuma hummed to himself as he walked into the Moon Dormitory thinking that Zero, whatever he had been doing there) looked much better than how he found him (he didn't regret giving the ice cream to Zero and not Shiki, after all Zero probably needed it more)

and that all Zero had apparently needed was some ice cream and good company.
