A/N- As you may know, I am currently on a Next To Normal kick. And if you don't know, then pay more attention to what I am writing, please. So, anyway, I love the musical. And I was doing a little research over the weekend and found a blog that I would like to share with you. It is relatively new, only a couple of days actually, but I think it's cool. If you are into Next To Normal, you should look at it. Thank you.

In more news, this story is from a writing contest I was having with my friends, hence the reason it is so out of season. Sorry about that, by the way. Anyway, I lost due to a technicallity that was not explained and supposed to be assumed. Let me just point out, that out of the four of us in this competition I am the ONLY one having my piece read by people who I don't know. Thank-you for reading and/or proving my point.
I looked up, startled, from the newspaper I was reading. In Italian. There were sharp knocks at my door.
It was odd, I wasn't expecting any visitors tonight. I quickly ran through the list of terrorists, assassins, friends, family, and random people who may or may not need my help. I didn't come up with anyone who would be visiting me at seven o'clock at night.
The knocks continued persistently, however. I grabbed my gun and slowly pulled the door open a crack. Two little girls in frilly pink dresses smiled up at me.
"Trick or treat!" They yelled up at me shrilly. I was suddenly happy that Fiona was not here right now. She might not appreciate the irony in two princesses showing up at my door in the early evening.
"You've got to be kidding me." I said, under my breath, to no one in-particular. I pulled my weapon behind my back, and put it in the drawer of my make-do desk.
"Just a minute." I said, with my best taking-down-corrupt-dictators voice, and a forced smile. I backed slowly into the loft. I moved quickly to the fridge and prayed that Sam had left some of his candy here.
I sighed with relief, pulling out a couple of Snickers and a Almond Joy. I practically ran to the door.
"Thank you!" The two girls chorused happily, jumping back down the metal loft stairs.
I smiled despite myself.
"Happy Halloween!" I called after them, and went to go finish my newspaper.
