Rose stared down the beach with a blank expression on her face. Tears threatening to fall down her face, as she moved to sit down in on the cool sand. It looked like it was going rain.
Just like that day, she thought, half bitter. Why did this have to happen to her? For once she happy and the Daleks and the Cybermen had to take it away from her. Sniffling she wiped the tears that where making their way down.
Mickey understood that she need space and only came when she called for him, but she was getting tired of all the pity looks the rest of her family would give her. She knew that they were trying to help her, but she didn't need their pity. She needed him. His ridiculous hair, his goofy smiles, the hugs, and the best of all, the running. They couldn't give her that, nobody could, just him.
She always visited this beach once or twice a week. It sometimes helped her. Sometimes it just made her feel worse. But it was like she could feel that he was near.
'I hope he moved on.' She told herself, as it pained her to even think that, she really hope he did. She didn't want him moping around in that box alone. He needed somebody. Somebody to help him. Somebody to make him laugh. And somebody to stop him.
That somebody wasn't her anymore. She cried out mentally to him. 'Don't forget me! Please...'
Some more tears track down her face ruining her mascara. She let out a shuddering breath as the cool wind whipped her hair back slightly.
She glanced back at her jeep, her dad had given her immediately when they had gotten here. Then she look back at the beach. It was almost sunset, she would have to get back to Torchwood. She slowly got up on her feet.
She looked up at the sky. She reached in her pocket and pulled out her phone, like she had done million of times before. Holding her phone to the sky with a shaking hands. She pressed the speed dial, like she had done back on her old earth while hiding or running from aliens.
The robotic voice from phone spoke the same words again, "This line has been disconnected." She closed her eyes in defeat, a stray tear sneaking out. Slowly, she slid her phone in her pocket before turning on her heels walking towards the jeep.
She walked confidently with one thought running in her mind.
'I will find a way back.'
