Seaweed, Turtle thought dizzily, wondering if he was about to lose consciousness, go wrap Anemone's mouth shut so she cannot cast any more animus spells. Neither by voice or thought, as long as you are touching her.

The seaweed leaped off the ground, and wrapped itself around Anemone's snout. Turtle lied down on the sand narrowly avoiding passing out.

I did it, he thought as he lay there listening to the frantic mumbles of his sister. What's she saying, Turtle thought, I'll check in a few seconds, but let me just stay here for a while.

Once Turtle recovered enough to stand back up he decided to check on his raging sister. Anemone lay before him unmoving. She isn't breathing, Turtle thought frantically. He began to cut through the seaweed with his talons. The layers kept regenerating not allowing him to cut through.

I didn't enchant the seaweed to allow her to breathe, he thought tearing up at the thought.

"No, no this can't be happening how—how did I allow this to happen," Turtle yelled between sobs. The ground around Turtle began to shake as a familiar face appeared.

Turtle knew Darkstalker would know there was another dragon nearby, with or without his invisibility spell. "I enchant this earring so it may reveal any dragons attempting to hide from me, by physical or magical means."

It's over; he knows I'm here, Turtle thought still mourning the loss of his sister. "That was a clever spell you enchanted you know?" Darkstalker growled. "Especially how you used it to spy on me. Anemone had one job to do, it's a shame you killed her, now I'll have to find another SeaWing animus to enchant."

He's going to use me to finish the job, Turtle thought as he began to run away. He didn't get far before running into an invisible wall, almost knocking himself out. Darkstalker grabbed him by the wing, pulling him closer. "I enchant this SeaWing, ah what's your name again?" Darkstalker began. "Yes, right it's Turtle, I remember now," Darkstalker continued, "I enchant this SeaWing, Turtle, to find and kill all royal SeaWings down inside the Deep Palace."

No he can't do that, Turtle thought, getting onto his talons against his own will. Turtle picked up the dagger Anemone spent so long digging for. I don't want to kill anyone, especially not my own family. Turtle trudged along the beach trying to go the opposite direction. I can't—I won't, Turtle thought diving into the sea to finish Darkstalker's task. I'll be just like Albatross, using my animus powers for evil, he thought as he continues to swim deeper.

One of Turtle's brothers swam up to continue their earlier conversation. I can't remember his name. Is this really how much influence Darkstalker has over me currently?

Please run, Turtle flashed in Aquatic to his brother. Wh-. Turtle's brother didn't even finish his sentence before Turtle plunged the dagger deep into his throat.

This can't be happening—this cannot be happening, Turtle thought to himself. I enchant this dagger to never kill another dragon for as long as it exists. Bright, glowing letters appeared on the dagger. In a familiar handwriting it read not going to happen.

Turtle continued to dive deeper into the palace leaving the corpse behind. Turtle continued to pick off his brothers discretely one-by-one against his own will, until eventually he was face-to-face with his own mother. Queen Coral and her daughter Auklet. I'm sorry, was all he could flash before he killed both of them.

It wasn't long until the whole continent knew that an attacker assaulted the Deep Palace.

It wasn't long until everyone knew the queen of the SeaWings was dead.
