A/N: Hey guys, been a while :) I am working on a bunch of new fan fictions at present but in the meantime enjoy this one-shot of GeCe.
Cece opened her locker, casting one glance over her school books as if she were considering making the effort to actually take them to class before the image of herself reflected in the mirror she had stuck on the locker door made her forget them entirely. She smiled at herself and reluctantly looked away as a certain someone showed up behind her, seeming also to have the same weakness as he admired himself in the glass.
"What do you want Gunther?" Cece asked his reflection before turning to face him. Oddly his was not accompanied by his sister, Tinka, but she spared little thought in wondering about her absence. One Hessenheffer is just as annoying as two.
Gunther didn't' seem to have heard her, his gaze was fixed earnestly on her pair of orange gym shoes that sat, along with other neglected school supplies in her locker. She followed his gaze, unable to find meaning in his focus. While he was deep in thought Cece took a minute to notice his outfit; an orange sequined jacket, black pants and shirt with a sparkly letter 'G' on it, nothing out of the ordinary for Gunther Hessenheffer. The red head tilted her head to one side as she looked from him to where his blue eyes were still fixed on her gym shoes and after a matter of seconds realised the colour.
He lifted his gaze to her finally, regaining his composure he said "I see your shoes are orange," Really? Cece thought but did not say.
"Yeah, and?" She replied, wondering where Rocky was before remembering she was in the library-Cece considered going there now, but couldn't decide if it was worth it. His countenance had now fully returned to its former overconfident look, now Gunther leaned against a locker and looked down at her with a grin. Becoming impatient Cece said "Orange is my favourite colour, what's wrong with that?"
"Nothing at all, baybee," He replied in a low voice. Here it comes, Cece thought sighing and preparing for what was to come. "Orange is my favourite colour too," She hadn't been expecting that but what he said next was all too predictable "Fate is funny like that," Gunther was now merely inches away from her. For a second Cece was lost in his eyes, and everything else faded away-later she would swear that his big head had blocked everything else from sight.
A familiar accent called them both back to Earth, for it seemed he too had been in a trance. What the heck just happened? Cece demanded to herself; confused as to how she felt. She knew how she should have felt, disgusted, annoyed or even nothing at all-but exactly how she did feel, she could not describe but would come to understand much later.
"Gunther, we are going to be late for math class," Tinka called from a distance.
"You know Cece, our love is recurring," Gunther remarked, panic flickered in his eyes for a split second, hoping she had not picked up on his mistake.
But to his relief she inquired "What does that mean?"
"It goes on forever,"
"Just go!" Cece exclaimed pushing him on his way, hiding the smile which had crept onto her face.
