A/N: Spoilers for Chapitre 166/167. For a prompt in a 30 Day Poetry Challenge, I was to take the first ten words from Page 8 of any novel and use all of them in the poem. I did so from Volume 22 of TRC (but on page 10 since there wasn't any dialogue in page 8). This is from Tomoyo-hime's POV.
Kurogane: "Back then, I heard a voice."
Tomoyo-hime: "That was my voice."
"True Strength"
Before I sent you away
You never really heard my voice,
Did you?
You believed that you could
Protect people precious to you, like me
By robbing enemies their lives
When I sent you away
I knew then there was nothing else
I could do
All I could do was pray for your happiness
Pray you would finally heal your wounds
You chose to gloss over
Now that you are back
I can see how much you have changed
Not because you lost your arm
But because you didn't regret losing it at all
You trusted my voice
To save your most precious person
You are a stronger person than ever before
And I am proud of you
Welcome home, Kurogane.
