The clock tower struck midnight on Sunday. Everyone on campus was asleep in his or her bed. Everyone was asleep but Emily when she was woken up by her roommate, Susan.
"It's time." Susan said as she stood at the foot of Emily's bed. Susan was dressed in all while like for a cotillion. Emily had no time to dress. She put on her slippers and followed Susan out of their room and they stopped a door at the end of the hall.
"I'm going to blindfold you." Susan whispered.
"You didn't say anything about being blindfolded!" Emily replied.
"Are you trying to wake up the whole floor?" Susan looked down the hall to see if the coast was clear.
"You asked me to be a part of this. You agreed to anything without questions. You've done a great job and the other girls have seen all of the hard work you've done. Don't turn back now over a stupid little blindfold. I will be there the whole time."
Emily sighed as she nodded her head. Susan tied a white cloth around her eyes. Emily's palms started to sweat. Susan gave a weird knock.
"Hark, who goes there?" said a muffled voice.
"I found someone lost in the woods. She was wondering in the dark but she bares the light we've been looking for." Susan said as she grabbed Emily's hand and led her into a candle lit room.
