Setsuna knelt in her flower garden tending to the flowers she had planted. She stood up and stretched. I've got to take a break or Ami will be furious if she finds out, Setsuna thought then realized what she had forgotten and glanced at her watch. Oh no! I almost forgot it's my turn to pick up Hotaru at school! She rushed inside to change out of her gardening clothes. Haruka came out of the kitchen carrying her and Michiru's adopted daughter Kimiko. "What's the rush, Sets?" Haruka asked but Setsuna didn't answer. Setsuna grabbed the car keys off the counter. Behind her in the kitchen Michiru spoke in calming tone. "Calm down, Setsuna. Hotaru just called. She's staying after school to finish her homework." She said. Setsuna stopped and turned to face the aqua-haired woman. Before Setsuna could respond Haruka freaked out. The Plutonian and Neptunian turned to face Haruka. "What is it this time?" Setsuna asked. A badly injured woman had fallen to her knees before the front door. She held a blanket wrapped bundle in her arms. A wail came from the bundle. "Haruka, go get my first aid kit!" Setsuna snapped. Haruka jumped startled then handed Kimiko to Michiru before rushing off. Setsuna turned to face Michiru. "Help me get her inside," She said but Michiru didn't react. "Now, Michiru!" Michiru set Kimiko down in her playpen then helped Setsuna get the woman inside. Another wail came from the bundle in the woman's arms. Setsuna carefully took the bundle and looked inside. "Michiru, she has a child…" Setsuna whispered. At the word 'child' the woman reacted. "My baby! Give her back!" She cried. "Whoa, take it easy. I'm not going to hurt her. My guess is she's hungry," Setsuna said with a soothing tone. "Haruka where's my first aid kit?!" Haruka rushed into the room. "Who is she, Sets?" Haruka asked. "We can ask her that later. Right now, she needs medical attention and her baby needs to be fed." Michiru replied before Setsuna could. At that exact moment Hotaru opened the front door which Setsuna had shut as an afterthought. "Setsuna-mama, Haruka-papa, Michiru-mama! I'm home!" She called and stopped in the living room door way. She took a step back and cursed in Saturnian which Michiru just barely managed to cover Kimiko's ears to prevent her from hearing it. "Hotaru Tomoe! That was uncalled for!" Setsuna –who had understood it- scolded glaring at the black-haired, violet-eyed girl. Michiru took her hands away from Kimiko's ears. "This is Palutena, Queen of Skyworld and also called the Goddess of Light. If she's here then no doubt Medusa is here as well. The child bothers me however…" Hotaru's voice trailed off. "Why?" Haruka asked.
So I'll leave it at that! Not sure if this would be considered a cliff hanger but... Anyway I hope it causes some suspense for those who read my stories!
