Lila was taking a walk among the streets until she stopped behind a fence, where she looked around to make sure there was no one in sight. Once she saw it was safe, she knocked the fence and a familiar figure turned over a plank of the fence
"It's you." said the Familiar Figure
"Yeah, we were supposed to meet at 3 PM right?" asked Lila
"Yes, you came here alone?" answered and asked the Familiar Figure
"Yeah, I made sure nobody knew I was coming here." answered Lila
"Nobody? Nor the sixth graders?" asked the Familiar Figure
"Yes, nobody knows anything." answered Lila
"... Whisper me the password." said the Familiar Figure as she lowered its head
Lila looked around one more time before whispering a very quiet "Amare Minus" on the Familiar Figure Ear, the Familiar Figure then raised her head and nodded
"Come in." said the Familiar Figure
Lila went in and the Familiar Figure turned the plank down, Lila then took a seat in a bench and the Familiar Figure walked out of the shadows, revealing Ruth P. McDougal herself, who took out from her sleeve a red lollipop
"Want a lollipop?" asked Ruth
"Do you have another flavor?" asked Lila
From her sleeve, Ruth took out 4 different flavored lollipops, Lemon, Pineapple, Grape and Orange respectively, and then showed them to Lila like they were cards along with the strawberry lollipop
"Pick your favorite." said Ruth
Lila looked at all the lollipops and then took the Grape one, unwrapped it and then put the lollipop in her mouth, Ruth P. McDougal took the Orange one and then did the same thing Lila did
"So, how has your day been?" asked Ruth
"Fine... May I ask why we have to talk here, behind a Fence?" answered and asked Lila
"I already told you, I have a reputation as one of P.S. 118 loners and I want that reputation intact." answered Ruth annoyed
Lila was silent after Ruth's answer. Both of them engaged in a very long, awkward silence that was soon enough broke by Lila
"How has your day been?" asked Lila
"Normal, forgotten as Arnold's love interest and now somebody as important as dust." answered Ruth
Lila went silent again as she looked at the ground with an expression of regret on her face. Noticing this, Ruth sat at Lila's side and put her hand over Lila's shoulder and started to smile
"Don't feel bad about it." said Ruth
"I'm trying not to, but every time I hear that I took someone's place as love interest, I just can't help it but feel... Horrible." said Lila
"I wasn't that important, nor developed, anyway. But you, my friend, are certainly somebody developed enough to have your own personality." said Ruth
"But I thought those things you have there meant you were developed." said Lila
"Not that kind of development silly." said Ruth
Lila smiled and laughed a bit with Ruth. The two then got up and Ruth went to the plank and turned it over
"You go first." said Ruth
Lila walked to the plank but instead turned to Ruth
"You sure you don't wanna, i don't know, come to my house and do something there?" asked Lila
"Nah, I have to keep a reputation, remember?" answered Ruth
"Ah yes. Well bye Ruth, see you tomorrow." greeted Lila
Both Lila and Ruth left trought the plank and then Ruth turned the plank over before both girls bid farewell and went back to their homes
