Fluffy Pillow
Ruki hated her new pillow. In truth, she hated most new pillows because they came with that inherent sense of fluffiness, but she hated this one even more.
Why her mother had to pick up an extra-fluffy one, she didn't know. Fluffy pillows were just too uncomfortable, shifting and sinking a little whenever she lay her head down on it. She preferred the ones that her head left an imprint on that stayed – so the next time she put her head down, it wouldn't move and wake her up from a doze.
But her mother loved fluffy things and Ruki was stuck with it.
