Her eyes concentrated on the inky blackness of the sky. She swore she saw a red flash but then again no sleep for four days can mess with your vision. She saw it again a red flare in the dark went up into the sky fading away into the black night sky. She took a few steps towards where the flare was shot and stopped. okay wait, it could be a human, but what are the chances that it is? I mean what kind of idiot would shoot a flare up into the sky and risk getting caught by them? her thoughts were interrupted by a scream and a weird electrical noise and then an eerie silence. I guess it was a human. Oh well, its to late to save them now.
She turned and walked back to the car trying not to make any noise, they cant see but they can hear. once I get home I'm sooo killing those two boys for shoving me outside and telling me "oh by the way we need more food".
"Hi idiots remember me? I could be dead or caught by now you know? Are you guys even listening to me?!" I said slamming the door and glaring at them. 'yup." Charlie said. "sure we are." Hugo said." I swear a tornado could come through here and you two wouldn't look up from that video game." I stated in a matter-of-fact voice. "probably, I mean I would rather spend my last few seconds alive playing halo3 then panicking about a stupid tornado, I mean either way I'm going to die so why panic about it when I can enjoy my last few moments?" Charlie said grinning. "I agree and are even trying I've killed you like three million times its pathetic even if you are a noob you shouldn't be this bad." "shut up this controller doesn't work!" "oh yea sure blame it on the controller."
I walked away knowing they're bickering would last at least for another two hours. Great that's all we need another two hours of those two monkey heads bickering. " Hey john I'm back." I said softly not wanting to disturb him and his experimenting. He was the quiet wise ass of the house but none of us would be alive if it weren't for him, this was his house we lived in after all. "you were gone…..oh yeah you went out for food, how did that go?" "…good I already unloaded the car…I think I heard or…saw a human or a flare…or something, I'm not exactly sure…what happened it was like pitch black and I haven't really gotten much sleep" I said suddenly feeling light headed. "oh, well, kudos to you and maybe seeing something" john said laughing. "I'm going to sleep, try and make sure that Charlie and Hugo don't kill each other okay?" I said heading to my bedroom. " yea, I'll do my best."
I woke up to a warm little ball of sunshine named Charlie next to me, everyone considered him to be cat even if he was 100% human. He always climbs into the nearest most comfortable bed and slept there. He could care a less who was in the bed. He's small like a ten year old and has a one of those smiles that you have to smile back at. He's fifteen and hyper…Odd, but always knows how to cheer a person up.
I walked down to the kitchen to make waffles to find the waffle box already empty. "Charlie, John! What is this?" I asked angrily. " Its called empty box, its are newest piece of art work. You like it? We can make more." Charlie said snickering. "you two are lucky I got four boxes or you wouldn't live to see another day, I love waffles." I said irritably. " well so does everyone else in this house so you might want to make sure that no one else created more art." John said. "there better be some left or you guys will be dead!" I said angrily shaking the empty waffle box at them.
