Another short story everyone! So, I joined the WRITER'S GUILD club in school, and my teacher said that we should write anything we wanted. so I thought about this story :o actually, the words were different from what I wrote in paper. :))) so yeah. omg, at first, we were like 3 members O_O and then it got more eventually, :D maybe ten or more. XD hahaaha, oh well, whatever. :D ENJOY !
It was an October night; the stars were shining on the dusky blue sky, the moon lightly illuminating the quiet streets of Japan. Cold autumn air was suspended in the air, as the owls on the trees were hooting, as if they were saying that you shouldn't disturb them and let them enjoy this night. There was a strange clatter that destroyed the peaceful night that came from cats fighting over the garbage bin.
The rest of the road was given light by the streetlights. Never-ending darkness came at the end; no one dared to go out there though, for it is already night time. All of the people in that area were sleeping already.
Not for one girl. Her room was lightly lit with her newly bought table lamp; you can see her silhouette outside the window of her house. She was holding a novel, and was in the verge of tears. A sigh escaped from her lips as she was reminiscing about him.
She was lightly flipping the newly printed pages from time to time; images appeared on her mind as she was reading every sentence, every paragraph. Her tears wanted to escape, yet she was hindering them from falling. The more she stops it, the more it was demanding to fall down her face, and it did.
She wiped it away roughly and shook her head, no, she won't cry. Not like this. She has to find a way to fix this, she doesn't want this to happen. Why is she crying over a stupid book anyways? It's just a book. She hugged it to her chest.
No, it was a novel.
A very special novel that was written by him.
It was the story of them.
The memories were flashing right through her mind, it was unstoppable.
How they met, how they fell in love, how she got her first kiss which was stole by him.
'Please, don't do this..' She thought as she was shaking in tears, more drops of tears followed as the book was slightly soaked with her painful tears.
A man in black was outside, watching her intently. The leaves under his foot cracked softly as he wanted to come inside her house and pull her into his arms. But the sudden thought of it made him stop. No, he wouldn't do that, even though he needed to see her badly, it was unforgivable.
He turned away and faced the other direction and walked away. Walked away from his happiness, walking away from his angel, walking away from the light that made him happy. She was the light, he was darkness. The two couldn't be together no matter what you'll do. She gave light to the darkness within him through her smiles.
Painful as it is, this is their fate. He chose this fate for the both of them.
'Natsume…' She thought as she closed her eyes, her heart was aching, aching for him.
'Mikan…' He wanted to say sorry, he knows it was hard to say this. To say goodbye without seeing each other. Yet, it was better this way.
'I love you' those were the words they said as they thought of each other.
This love which grew within them is unforgivable. It's a sin.
A tear fell from his eye, surely, this would be the last time he'll see her. And then he disappeared into the darkness. He was too dangerous, he couldn't be with her.
He was a sin himself.
He was a murderer.
