Monday are not good days.

Ed is not superstitious, Monday were bad days, because bad things had a tendency to happen on Monday. Those were the facts.

On one of the first bad Monday, his father left them to never come back. Leaving his brother screaming in the arms of her teary eyed mother.

On this first Monday, Al never knew much of what their father looked like, or acted like. And on this day, their mother never was the same. Never as happy, never as strong.

But what really hurt Ed, was that, after this Monday, his mother always got this sad smile and sad eyes when she looked at them, and more so when he was alone with her. He never could make her smile like before (he was becoming his father look-alike).

At first he didn't want to think that Monday were bad days.

But in the next years, it was hard not to.

Their mother died on a beautiful Monday, sick and still sad.

Of course, his dread of Monday didn't begin from those two events. But it became more important as they grew up.

The beginning of the end, the failed resurrection of their mother, the loss of his brother body, the loss of his leg. A Monday.

His entrance in the army, as a state alchemist. A Monday.

The death of Nina, again, a Monday.

The death of Hughes...

But sometimes, Monday become good days.

Sometimes, a new life is given a chance at life, sometimes a child become happy, sometimes, a wife find his husband. Sometimes, people lost come home for the first time since forever.

Sometimes, there is hope.

Sometimes, Ed think what day it is doesn't matter. But in the end, he still dread Monday.

Until the day were everything come to an end.

When the world almost end, when death is almost there, when hope is failing, when blood is pooling around him, when screams and cries reach his ears.

And when they can fight again and win, when they manage to save the world, when they can be found with smile, and tears of joy.

Ed think this is a good day to say goodbye.

It's a Monday. Edward Elric saved the world, brought back the body of his brother, forgave his father.

Edward Elric breathed with a smile, and fell asleep.

Monday could be good days too, sometimes.
