Prompt: For You I Will – Teddy Geiger
JJ was afraid to take the leap into love again after she got her so badly from her relationship with Will. She knew logically that Dave wasn't Will but that didn't mean that the fear would just go away. She knew that Dave would never hurt her physically or even emotionally and mentally like Will had done. Even though she knew that logically and rationally she couldn't get it through her head.
She had finally admitted to herself that she loved Dave but she couldn't admit it to him no matter how much she may have wanted too. She knew that he loved her because he made it a point to tell her daily just how much he loved her and how much she meant to him. She hated herself for not being able to tell him how she felt.
She wanted nothing more than to be able to tell Dave that she loved him. When there was a knock on her office door she looked up and a smile blossomed on her lips as she saw the object of her thoughts standing in the doorway. "Come on in Dave."
Dave smiled at the woman he loved and walked in and shut the door before walking over and pulling her out of her chair. "Do you have a few minutes so that we can talk honey?"
JJ nodded and said with a smile "I always have time for you Dave."
Dave smiled and said "JJ I love you and you know that. Can you try to remember that I'm not Will? I can tell when I look in your eyes that you love me and I understand you're scared but I will never do to you what he has done to you. Will you remember that Bella?"
JJ smiled sadly. "For you I will honey. I do love you Dave. I know that I've never said it but I want you to know that I love you. I'm trying real hard to remember that you would never do to me what Will did. I know that logically and rationally but I can't seem to get it through my head."
Dave smiled. "JJ, you just told me. That is all I want babe. I know that you love me but it's nice to hear the words also."
JJ nodded and stood up on her tip toes and kissed Dave on the lips hard. She was so happy that she had finally been able to say the words to him. When she pulled back from the kiss she looked up at him with a blinding smile. "Oh my God I did say the words. I can't believe I finally said them without freaking out. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you Dave. God how I love you."
Dave laughed and shook his head. "I love you too JJ. I will never tire of hearing you tell me that."
JJ grinned. "That's good honey because now that I have said it I don't ever want to stop."
Dave smirked and pulled JJ back into his arms and kissed her gently and tenderly.
