Happy Birthday Naruto!
Naruto slowly sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. He yawned groggily and stole a quick glance at the calendar. It read October 10.
"That's right! Today is my birthday!" He hopped out of bed with new found energy.
He got dressed in record speed and flew out the door to meet his team. He arrived there in no time and was surprised to see that even his sensi was already there.
"Hey Naruto!" Sakura greeted him with a kind smile. It wasn't like Sakura to show such kindness towards Naruto, but she made a special effort seeing it was his birthday.
"Hey Sakura-chan!" Naruto replied with a huge smile plastered on his face, "Do you know what today is?"
"October 10th?" Sakura offered.
"Nooooo..." Naruto said impatiently.
"Wednesday?" Sasuke asked.
"Nooooooo..." Naruto was now more impatient than ever.
Kakashi cocked his head in thought. "We give up. What is today, Naruto?"
Naruto stared in disbelief. How could they have forgotten his birthday? Especially since he'd been talking about it none stop the entire week!
"Oh I remember now!" Sakura chirped. Naruto's spirits rose again as a excited smile returned to his face. "Today's the day we're mission free!" Naruto's face fell again. He crossed his arms in a pout and mumbled something under his breath that sounded like, "Some friends."
Grins appeared on the faces of the other members of squad 7 and Sakura giggled.
"Just kidding Naruto!" Sakura held out a present with a big orange bow at the top.
"Happy Birthday!" Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi said simultaneously.
A goofy grin appeared on Naruto's face as he accepted the gift. "I'll admit you had me going there for a sec!" He carelessly ripped away the wrapping paper revealing brand new kunai's and shuriken.
"We all chipped in and got you a personalized weaponry set," Sakura told the blonde. Naruto then noticed his name carved into each kunai and shuriken.
"Thanks a bunch guys!" Naruto thanked them, "Now if you'll excuse me I've really got to get going!" And with that he sped off, leaving the other's in a daze.
They decided to follow Naruto to see what was so important that he ran off like that. When they finally found him he was sitting in a chair at the Ichiraku ramen stand. He clapped his hands together excitedly as a steaming bowl of ramen was placed in front of him.
"Naruto why did you rush off like that?" Sakura asked, surprising Naruto, who didn't even know they had followed him.
"Oh hey guys! What? Oh, you see Teuchi promised me all the ramen I could eat for free on my Birthday!" He said already finishing off his second bowl of ramen and ordering a third.
Kakashi sighed and Sasuke and Sakura sweated dropped.
Apparently ramen is the best gift he could ever recieve.
Author's Note: Happy Birthday Naruto!!! Yeah I know this is a little late for Naruto's Birthday but I sorta um... forget. heh heh heh. PLEASE FORGIVE ME NARUTO-KUN!
This short little drabble or oneshot or whatever you want to refer to it as SUCKS, and I know it. But it was sorta last minute and it only took me like 3 minutes to write... I'm too lazy to take more time writing it. ' Sorry... I hope you semi-enjoyed it though!
