Monday. 8:15am. A month after the school was open after half term. Students came rolling in. Rachel stood at the door with Tom beside her

"It's good to be back" Tom confessed as he took a sip from his tea. Rachel grinned and nodded "Yeah, yeah it really is"

In the distance, walking in. They spot a young girl walking in. She was clearly young enough to be a student. But she wasn't dressed like she was coming to Waterloo road. The young girl had dirty blonde long hair, she was wearing big black beat headphones. A grey beanie. A Nirvana black short sleeved t-shirt with dark blue baggy jeans that had rips in them at the kneecaps along with black doc martens. Black leather jacket. Medium height and a body like Cara Delevingne. Needless to say, this girl was stunning. But she looked like trouble.

"Ey up, how long did it take us to get a misfit then?" Tom joked as he looked to his watch. Rachel muffled a laugh and then mumbled "Lets just hold on, let's not judge yet"

"You say that every time" Tom laughed again "I'll let you, I'm just going to watch" Rachel rolled her eyes. The young girl was about to walk past them and into the school. Rachel stepped slightly in front of her "Excuse me"

The young girl just stared at Rachel. The music was blasting out through her headphones. No wonder she didn't hear what Rachel had to say. Rachel lightly pulled the headphones off the young girls ears "Did you hear me?"

"Does it look like I heard you?"

"Ey, watch the mouth" Tom added on. The young girl glanced a scowling look to Tom and was then made to put her eyes back to Rachel by her saying "Who are you?"

The young girl pulled a dirty look and then hitched her breath with a laugh "Faith"

"Faith?"

"Yeah I know it's not common-"

"No I don't mean that, I mean Faith what, what is your last name?"

Faith raised her eyebrows for a split second and said bluntly "Oh, Cooper"

"Okay, Faith Cooper, where is your uniform"

Faith shrugged "Don't have one"

"Why's that?"

"Because I don't, what's so hard to wrap your head around"

"What I can't get my head around is your lack of respect" Rachel looked to Tom and sighed. She looked back to Faith and asked for Faith to go into her office. Faith rolled her eyes and groaned a sigh as she walked in and headed to the office with Rachel as Tom went into the staff room to catch up with everyone. Including Davina when she arrives.

Rachel closed the office door with Faith standing in the middle of the office room. Rachel looked to Faith from behind and then walked behind her desk and sat at her chair. She asked politely for Faith to take a seat. She didn't. Rachel then softly demanded. Then Faith did. Chewing on a piece of chewing gum and looking out the window. Faith didn't say a word.

Rachel broke the silence "Is there a real reason that you don't have a uniform, a good one at least" Again Faith shrugged, still looking out the window she spoke.

"My Foster parents didn't exactly know what school they wanted to send me to, they gave me three options and I picked this one"

Rachel grew a small smile "Any reason?"

Faith looked back "Yes, but that's my business"

Her smile then wiped, she tilted her head "Is there anyone we can contact"

"They're both at work, besides they wouldn't pick up, they see a number they don't recognize they don't answer"

"Okay, well we'll get you a proper timetable finished by lunch, but for now I'll give you two first lessons to have" Rachel wrote down two subjects. The basics which was English and Science. Tom for English and Chris for Science. Rachel passed Faith the piece of paper

"Don't be late" Faith nodded and stood up, walking over to the door energyless.

"Faith"

Faith sighed and turned around. "Yes?"

Rachel gave a little smile and said "Welcome to Waterloo Road"

"We'll see for how long" Faith stated as she left the office. Faith did arrive late to English. She opened the door and stood there. Gum still in mouth, music still blasting out of her headphones except the headphones remained around her neck.

"Where have you been?" Tom said with a disapproving sigh. He knew already that she was going to be a handful. Faith shrugged "The head had me in her office for a bit, problem?"

"I have with your attitude, yes, now go sit next to Danielle over there" Faith looked over to where Tom pointed.

"Spit out the gum and turn that music off first" Faith rolled her eyes. She spat out the gum and turned the music off. She then gave Tom a sarcastic smile. Faith took a seat next to Danielle. Danielle held out her hand for Faith to shake "I'm Danielle"

"Yeah I know, he just said it" Faith bluntly pointed out making Ashley look a bit like an idiot. Ashley retracted her hand and placed it back onto the desk "And your name is?"

"Faith"

"Hey Faith, my friends call me Dan"

"That's nice to know, too bad that won't be of use to me" Faith looked down to the desk and began to draw on the book that was given to her as she entered the room.

She didn't do any work. She doodled and looked out the window as she rested her head on her hand. Faith wasn't able to concentrate because she was too busy focused on the person she was itching to see. The person who she came to this school for. Faith was hoping to run into the, in the next class since they were in the same year. English felt like a long drag. But then again, Faith found any lesson boring. She found school boring. All the schools she's ever been to were crap. And she's been to five different ones through four different fosters parents. This one she's currently with lived just outside of Rochdale and in the center of Manchester.

Faith made her own way to science. At least she tried to. She didn't have a clue where she was going, making her going to be late for her science lesson as well. Rachel saw Faith walk down the corridors, not even looking for a classroom but with her headphones on again. Again Rachel sighed and walked over to her, once again she pulled her headphones down "Hey!"

"Do you want me to confiscate them?"

"You can't do that!"

"I'm the headteacher I'm pretty sure I can and also what did I say about the lack of respect? That was an order to get some for your teachers" Faith sighed and looked away from Rachel, not really taking in what she was saying. Rachel kept her eyes on Faith and said with a more strict voice "Now why aren't you in lesson"

"I don't know where the hell the classroom is"

"Did you not think to ask another student?"

Faith shrugged "I'm not the sociable type"

Well that was already clear enough. "Come on then, it looks like I'm going to have to take you"

"No way, it'll look like I'm some sort of teachers freaking pet"

"Better than spending the rest of your first day in the cooler"

"Debatable"

"Faith, first day impressions are important, regardless of what you think they are, it will be better being escorted to your class than looking like the newest 'wanna be' bad girl"

Faith rolled her eyes and groaned a sigh. She stepped beside Rachel and waited for her to be guided to her lesson. Faith looked for the person she wanted to find in her lesson but again they weren't there. God damn where the hell were they. Rachel knocked on the door and smiled to Chris "Sorry to disturb you Mr Mead but I have a new student here come to join your class" Rachel looked to Faith and nodded her head for Faith to step inside the classroom "This is Faith"

"Hi Faith" Chris said with a cute little smile on his face. Faith simply nodded and muttered under her breath "Yeah hi"

"Take any spare seat, Faith" Faith scanned around. There was a seat next to Chlo. The other people were Phillip or Danielle. From her prejudice judgement. Chlo seemed like the less annoying choice. So she walked over and sat next to her, but still didn't say a word to anyone. She just looked down to her phone. Rachel then walked over to Faith and lent on the table next to Faith, she laid her hand out "Give me the phone and the headphones"

"You can't be serious"

"Does it look like I'm joking? Hand them over, you'll get them back later" Faith rolled her eyes and slammed her phone and headphones in Rachel's hand and looked down to the desk, cursing under her breath. Rachel walked over to the door and then whispered to Chris "Chris, watch her like hawk" Chris didn't even question it. He just did as he was asked and returned back to his lesson as Rachel walked back down the hallway, glancing to Faith as she did.
