He woke up slowly, groggy, squinting because of the sunlight.

"Ugh… how long was I out…?" He mumbled.

'That depends, Rath, when did you fall asleep?' A voice echoed in his head

Rath quickly jumped to his feet "Who's there?!" he yelled

A Dusknoir floated in front of him, 'Just me, and my friends.'

Suddenly tons of ghost Pokémon appeared behind the Dusknoir.

'We just wish to talk.'

"How can you talk?" Rath touched his hand to his head "...telepathy…"

'That's right, we ghost Pokémon can do a plethora of things' The Dusknoir floated menacingly, unmoving.

"I don't know what plethora is, but what do you want with me?" Rath said, moving his hand towards his belt and poke-balls.

Suddenly his arm locked up.

"Wh-What is this?!" He screamed in shock.

'We need you for something very special, Rath' Spoke the Dusknoir

"Yeah, what's that?!" Rath yelled in reply.

'You see, we ghost Pokémon would like the revival of the most precious of our type'

"Huh?" Rath said, trying to move his arm

'Our God so to speak, his name is Giratina, the most powerful of all ghost...no…of all legendary Pokémon! He will bring this world to its knees, with us behind him as his army; the world will belong to the ghost Pokémon!!'

"I thought Arceus was the Pokémon God" Rath stated chiefly.

'NO!' shouted the Dusknoir, 'Giratina is the best! Arceus is nothing but a carbon copy of everything!'

"Doesn't that make him-?"

'Silence!' Dusknoir cut Rath off, 'It is now time to summon our leader, and bring destruction to this wretched world!'

"Yeah ok, but what's that got to do with me?" Rath asked.

Dusknoir chuckled.

'You, my boy, are our human sacrifice.'

"You're what?!" Rath struggled to move his arm with all his might.

'Pokémon do not work as sacrifices, we've tried, so we decided to use a human, and you were the first one we found. You should consider yourself lucky; you are part of something larger than yourself!'

"Dang...shoulda stayed in cherry grove..." Rath sighed
