This is a sequel to my story "Remembering." It's set during "Journey's End." I don't own Doctor Who or the song. The Beatles = :D
Together Again
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright
The Doctor's regeneration energy hung around his "handy spare hand." He blew this away and looked up. Rose was there, looking shocked. He didn't regenerate. He's still him. He smiled. She was finally back. She was back where she belonged: with the Doctor.

She had waited so long for this moment. It seemed like forever ago that she had stood at Bad Wolf Bay listening to him say goodbye. Nothing during that time had felt right. It was going to be okay now. They were together. They just couldn't be separated.

She walked slowly towards him; as if she wasn't sure he existed. It was still her Doctor. She threw her arms around his neck, hugging him and never wanting to let go. He mirrored this action, smiling as she laid her head on his shoulder. His wonderful, fantastic, brilliant Rose.

He had wished for this every single day. He had prayed to all the gods he had ever heard of, hoping one of them would answer him. Someone had heard him. He held her tight because he didn't care how many Daleks were out there, they could wait. Saving the world could be put on hold for three minutes for this.

She found him. Hundreds of parallel worlds, time, and even a very stubborn Donna could not stop her. Daleks were trying to destroy the earth…again, but that could be fixed because nothing could stop her. Nothing. They were unstoppable together. Rose and the Doctor.
Sun, sun, sun here it comes
Sun, sun, sun here it comes
Sun, sun, sun here it comes
Sun, sun, sun here it comes
Sun, sun, sun here it comes
They held hands like they always did, like they had done back in that basement when they had met. They both knew that that it was more than plutonic. Now they could save the world, hand in hand, best friends, in love but never saying it.

Invincible. That's how Rose felt standing there with the Doctor's hand in hers; with a small army of people out there ready to fight an empire. A mouse against a lion. Reason told her she should have been terrified, but she knew that you should never listen to reason. She was standing in an impossible machine with an impossible man who had showed her impossible things. Reason was wrong.
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright
No matter what happened, the Doctor knew they would be alright. There was something comforting about holding Rose's hand that made him think they would be alright. Donna, Martha, Jack, Mickey, Jackie, Sarah-Jane, they were all out there ready to fight. Ready to win.
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
It's alright
It's alright
It would be okay. They would live. After losing so much, he realized that he had gained so much more. He was surrounded by people who would follow him anywhere because they loved him. Though he never really said it, he loved them too. Especially Rose. They would be alright.
I had to write this three times before it turned out how I wanted it and even then it wasn't perfect. Ah well, thanks for reading! I'm being held ransom by the Review Monster who demands more reviews to feast upon. Please feed him so he'll leave me alone! :D
